Welcome to honoring the past versions of yourself.

Today is the day we say thank you,

I love you,

I'm sorry,

I forgive you.

When was the last time you took time to look back and not only see how far you've come but how much have you overcome?

All thanks to every past version of yourself.

In a world where we are constantly focusing on the future,

Worrying about the future,

And anytime we think about the past,

We only focus on our mistakes,

We need to change that narrative.

We need to also honor all the past versions of ourselves,

That we wouldn't be here without them.

Like,

Even if you're not where you want to be in life right now,

I can almost guarantee that you're not where you were a year ago,

Or two years ago,

Or ten years ago.

Can you imagine if one of your past versions of yourself would see how far you've come,

Or how much you've overcome so far,

How proud and happy they would be?

How fulfilled they will feel?

Because for once you're not going to be blaming them for the mistake,

You're going to be making them see the progress.

This is what I want you to do here today.

This is what I invite you to start doing at least once a week,

To give yourself five minutes and ask yourself,

If me from five years ago would come spend the day with me today,

How would they feel?

If me from ten years ago would come spend the day with me today,

How would they feel?

And surprisingly,

When you do this,

When you're having a bad day,

Not a good day,

But a bad day,

Or a challenging day,

You're going to start feeling so much better,

Because you will realize how much you've grown as a person.

You're going to realize how many days you thought that would never end,

Have actually ended,

And you survived them,

All of them,

And you're here.

This little exercise can help you so,

So,

So much,

Not only in feeling better on a challenging or a bad day,

But also in feeling that you gave the past versions of yourself the love,

Acceptance,

Appreciation that no one else has given them.

It's crazy,

Right?

When you take a minute to think of it,

And to think of how far you've come,

And for once to think about the past version of yourself,

Without thinking of all the mistakes you did,

But all the things that you've been through,

And all the times you pushed,

Even though you just couldn't,

When you think of all the times you almost gave up on your big dreams,

Or on your desires,

Yet for some reason,

You kept going.

If all those past versions of yourself didn't keep going,

Where would you be today?

Have you ever taken a moment to just think,

If you had given up five years ago,

Or 10 years ago,

Or a year ago,

What would your current day,

Current reality be right now?

What would it look like?

What would it feel like?

Again,

I can almost guarantee it would be so different.

So let's make today the day where you honor every past version of yourself.

When you think of at least one version of yourself that you want to speak to right now,

This could be you from a year ago,

This could be you from six months ago,

This could be you from like six or seven or eight years ago.

Just think of one point in time where you usually,

Every time you think of that point in time,

You criticize your past self,

And you want to blame your past selves for all the mistakes,

And think again,

But this time think of how much that version of you has persisted,

No matter what.

How much that version of you didn't give up,

Even though they had every reason to give up,

And how grateful you are for that version of yourself today,

Because you're here,

And everything that you currently have right now,

Even if it's not much,

It's still something that you didn't have before,

And that happened because the past version of yourself helped you be here today.

Think for a minute,

And then tell your past version at that specific point in time that you thank them,

That you love them,

That you're sorry for any hurt you caused them,

And that you absolutely forgive them for the mistakes you've been blaming them for for years and years,

And watch the magic happen.

Watch how your body's going to feel different,

Your energy is going to feel different,

Because for once you're going to be showing the past version of yourself the honor it needs,

The respect it deserves,

The love and support that you once needed,

And maybe no one was there to give it to you,

And now that you know better,

Now that you've grown more,

You are able to offer that to yourself.

I really hope this resonates with you,

And I really hope you can share with me how did that feel like,

So if you can take a minute to leave me a comment and tell me how did it feel like when you said it out loud with your hand on your heart.

You put your hand on your heart and you say,

Thank you,

I love you,

I'm sorry,

I forgive you,

And tell me what that felt like.

Thank you for listening to this,

And I cannot wait to see the change you are going to make happen after doing this exercise.
