Hi there,
Kendra Tolbert here.
I'm a registered dietitian and yoga teacher,
And I specialize in women's health and fertility.
And today I have a five-minute fertility yoga flow for you.
This is the perfect practice for when you don't have a lot of time,
But you still want to take the time to move and breathe to support your overall well-being and your fertility.
Let's go ahead and get started.
Lie down at the center of your mat.
Palms facing up.
Invite you to close your eyes and bring your attention to your breath.
You Draw one knee and then the other knee into your chest.
Release any tension in your lower abdomen.
Place your hands onto your knees and begin to make circles.
With your knee.
Change the direction of your circles.
Bring your knees back into center.
Hug them in.
And then roll over onto your side.
Slowly press yourself up.
And make your way onto your hands and your knees.
On your inhale,
Arch your spine.
And as you exhale,
Round your spine for cat-cow.
Continue moving through Cat-Cow.
At your own pace.
Come back to a neutral spine.
And extend your right leg out to the side.
Once again,
Move through Cat-Cow at your own pace,
This time with your leg extended.
Come back to a neutral spine,
Bring your right leg in and switch to your left side.
Move through Cat-Cow with your left leg extended out to the side.
Come back to your neutral spine.
Bring your left leg in.
Take a seat at the center of your mat.
Place the soles of your feet together and allow your knees to fall away from one another down towards the mat.
Take hold of your ankles and begin to flap your legs up and down like butterfly wings.
Bring your knees down one final time,
Then begin to make circles with your torso around your hips.
Move at your own pace.
Change the direction of your circles.
Bring your torso to a neutral position.
Then lie back.
In the center of your mat.
Soles of your feet together,
Knees still wide.
Palms facing up.
And if it feels good and comfortable to you,
Close your eyes.
I invite you to bring your attention to your breath.
Straighten one leg.
And then the other for your final resting pose.
Bring your attention to your heart.
Begin to bring some movement back to your body.
Wiggle your toes and your fingers.
And roll over onto your side.
Slowly press yourself up.
And come to a comfortable cross-legged position.
Place one hand at the center of your chest and the other on your lower abdomen.
Thank yourself for taking this time to move and breathe.
