A natural woodland soundscape — birdsong in a forest breeze — recorded live on Wadandi Country in south-west Australia. Perfect for winding down, easing an anxious mind, restless nights, or drifting into deep, uninterrupted sleep. Science confirms what many of us feel instinctively: birdsong helps us relax. Researchers at the Max Planck Institute found that six minutes of birdsong significantly lowered anxiety in a controlled experiment of nearly 300 participants (Stobbe et al., 2022, Scientific Reports). A meta-analysis published in PNAS went further, identifying birdsong as the most effective nature sound for reducing stress and annoyance across multiple studies (Buxton et al., 2021).
