A Prayer to Overcome Worry and Stress Resting in God's Peace Dear Jesus,

My mind feels so full tonight.

Thoughts run in circles,

And peace feels far away.

I try to pray,

But the noise inside me won't quiet down.

You see the strain I carry,

The worries about tomorrow,

The weight of things I can't control,

And the questions I don't know how to answer.

But You,

Lord,

Are the Prince of Peace.

You spoke to the storm and it obeyed.

You breathed calm into chaos,

And still You whisper those same words now,

Jesus,

Help me to rest in You,

Not because everything is fixed,

But because You are here.

You remind me that I don't have to have all the answers,

That I can stop trying to hold the world together,

That Your hands are stronger than my fears.

When anxiety starts to rise in my chest,

Teach me to pause and breathe,

To let Your name fill the silence,

Jesus,

Jesus,

Jesus.

Let Your Spirit wash over my heart like a soft river,

Cleansing every anxious thought.

Let Your light fill the dark corners of my mind,

Where worry likes to hide.

You promise that Your yoke is easy,

And Your burden is light.

So tonight,

I choose to set down mine,

The heavy bag of what-ifs I've carried for so long.

I give You every concern about tomorrow,

Every decision I'm afraid to make,

Every fear about my future.

Remind me,

Lord,

That I was never meant to do this alone.

You walk beside me,

You go before me,

You fight for me when I cannot.

And when my thoughts start to race again,

Anchor me in Your word.

Help me remember that worry adds nothing,

But prayer brings peace.

Let me feel Your hand steadying mine.

Let me hear Your voice saying,

I've got You,

My child.

And when life feels uncertain,

Help me to trust that You are already there,

In the place I haven't yet reached.

Calm the restlessness within me.

Teach my heart to find stillness in Your presence,

To slow down and notice the small gifts of grace,

The quiet sunrise,

The sound of laughter,

The peace that comes when I simply breathe Your name.

You are my refuge,

Lord,

My safe place when life feels too heavy,

My peace when the world feels loud.

Help me to remember that worry cannot change my future,

But faith can transform my heart right now.

So I surrender this day to You.

All the moments I replay,

All the plans I can't control,

All the fears that whisper in the dark,

I place them in Your hands,

And I trust that they're safe there.

Jesus,

Help me wake tomorrow with new strength.

Help me face the day with grace,

Knowing that You are already waiting there,

Ahead of me,

Preparing the way.

And if worry tries to creep back in,

Remind me to meet it with prayer,

To speak Your promises out loud,

And to rest in Your perfect peace.

Because You are faithful,

You are good,

And You are enough.

Thank You,

Jesus,

For holding me when I can't hold myself together,

For trading my fear for peace,

My worry for trust,

And my stress for Your stillness.

I lay everything at Your feet,

Every burden,

Every care,

And I choose right now to rest in Your love.

In Your holy and precious name,

Jesus,

I find my calm,

I find my courage,

And I find my peace.

In Your heavenly and holy name I pray.

Amen.
