Hawah Kasat (he/him) is a celebrated author, educator, non-profit leader, podcast host, TEDx speaker, and yogi. For over 25 years, he has been teaching violence prevention, social-emotional literacy, conflict transformation, the healing arts, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and yoga to students from diverse demographics around the globe. Since birth, Hawah has been immersed in the living traditions, culture, philosophy, and practices of his ancestral homeland of India, and offers a rare perspective on Eastern and Western dichotomies. As a community organizer, Hawah is the co-founder and former executive director of One Common Unity, an award-winning nonprofit organization that has impacted the lives of over 40,000 youth and families. Most recently, he helped launch Roots to Sky Sanctuary, a 125-acre regenerative farm and healing arts center situated in northern Appalachia, where he serves as a managing partner. Over the years, he has authored four books and produced three documentary films. His work spans various settings, including as a featured presenter for Esalen Institute, Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, Omega Institute, People to People International, the Congressional Youth Leadership Council, and the Children’s Defense Fund’s Freedom Schools. He has appeared on XM Satellite Radio, BBC, Fox News, NBC, ABC, CNN, The Washington Post, NPR, and Al Jazeera. He delights in hosting a popular biweekly podcast called “Everlutionary.”
