Hello and welcome to this end of day cleansing meditation,
A chance for you to calm your body and your mind as the day draws to an end.
Find a position that you can get comfortable sitting or lying and when you're ready close your eyes and feel a sense of being held by whatever is underneath you and settle in.
When you're ready finding your breath,
Really focus on the air coming into your body and filling your lungs and releasing any tension on the exhale,
Softening more and more.
Feel the difference in temperature as you breathe the air in and how the breath is slightly warmer as you breathe out.
Releasing any tension on the exhale,
Feel your shoulders softening,
Your jaw relax,
Your arms just hanging heavy wherever they are.
Take a big deep breath into the chest,
Filling your lungs and tummy with air and exhale everything out and again and bringing your focus onto the day.
Take some time to try and find things to be grateful for,
Things that went well,
Unexpected,
Pleasant things and really feel a sense of gratitude growing in your chest.
Maybe it's somebody that you're grateful for or perhaps the morning coffee you had,
Seeing the sunrise or the sunset,
Perhaps even for the time now that you've taken to look after your mind,
Your body,
Your soul and feel yourself soften even more and keep focusing on those good things.
As that feeling of gratitude grows stronger,
Feel it filling up your body.
Perhaps even a small smile will come to the edge of your lips.
Feel a sense of lightness,
Thinking about the good things that happened today and as your mind inevitably wanders away,
Just bring it back to the breath and back to that feeling of gratitude and now shifting our focus and attention to the things that perhaps didn't go quite as well today.
Maybe thinking about the things that we might change about our day and those things that we aren't so grateful for.
Perhaps feel that as an energy building up into your chest and take a deep breath in and release on your exhale.
Let's do that a few times.
Breathing in,
Feeling that sense of things that maybe didn't go as well as you'd hoped and exhale to let them go.
And once more.
With that last breath,
Feel a sense of lightness come back into your body.
Relaxing your arms further,
Let your jaw relax,
Your shoulders hang loose,
Your abdominals release,
Your legs relax.
Cleansing your energy and your body ready for the new day tomorrow.
And now gradually just bringing yourself back into the room.
Making small movements with the fingers and the toes.
And when you're ready,
Gently blinking open your eyes.
Thank you so much for joining me today.
