Hello,
Beautiful ones.
Thank you for being here.
Welcome to the Summer Solstice Ritual.
Standing in the Light.
A Solstice Ritual of fire and fullness.
Welcome to the longest day.
The peak of the sun.
The golden crest of the year.
This is the Summer Solstice.
A time to stand fully in the light.
To honour what has grown and to feel the fire of your becoming.
Find a quiet place to sit or lie down.
Close your eyes if it feels good.
Let this ritual be a return to your breath,
To your body,
To the sacred fire within.
We begin.
Breathe.
Feel the earth beneath you.
Imagine roots unfurling from your body,
Anchoring deep into the belly of the earth.
Breathe.
With each breath,
Feel yourself settling,
Heavier,
More present.
Let the earth hold you.
Let the earth witness you.
Feel the warmth of the sun above,
Golden,
Ancient,
Generous.
Imagine it pouring over you,
Filling your body with light.
I call in the fire of the sun.
I call in the spirit of the wild rose,
The bee,
The ripe fruit and the vine.
I call in the ancestors who danced barefoot in meadows,
Who sang to the wheat and bathed in rivers of light.
I honour the great wheel as it turns.
I honour all that has grown in the world and within me.
Take a moment now to ask yourself gently,
What has blossomed in me since the winter's dark?
What am I proud of?
What am I ready to claim?
You might whisper your answers aloud or simply feel them stir inside your heart.
Let your body remember what it means to stand in your fullness,
To be witnessed,
To burn without apology.
You are not too much.
You are not too wild.
You are right on time.
You are a solstice bloom.
And now,
Let go.
Let go of what no longer serves this ripened version of you.
Imagine a fire before you,
Crackling,
Warm,
Sacred.
Drop your doubts,
Your fears,
Your should have beens into the flames.
Watch them dissolve into smoke and offer gratitude.
Gratitude to your body,
To the sun,
To the path that brought you here.
Speak it,
If you wish.
Whisper your thank yous into the fire.
As we close this ritual,
Place a hand on your heart.
Feel the drum of life within you.
Feel the sun still glowing in your belly,
In your chest,
Behind your eyes.
You carry this light now.
It lives in you.
Take it with you as a blessing,
As a torch,
As a reminder.
You are the light and the light is you.
Blessed summer solstice,
Wild one.
And so it is.
