Hello and welcome to a positive mindset guided meditation.
This meditation is intended to help you start your day with a positive mindset that you can share with the world.
Now take a moment and find a comfortable position.
That could be on the floor,
In a chair,
Or lying down.
Whichever helps you feel more comfortable,
Relaxed,
And receptive to positivity.
We will begin with a breathing exercise to help you relax and get settled.
If you are settled into your chosen position,
Go ahead and close your eyes if you feel comfortable doing so.
Relax your body and we will begin the breathing portion of the meditation.
We will begin by breathing in for four seconds through the nose,
Holding for two seconds,
And breathing out for four seconds.
Let's begin.
Breathe in for four,
Hold for two,
Breathe out for four,
Breathe in for four,
Hold for two,
And breathe out for four.
In for four,
Hold for two,
And out for four.
Now allow your breathing to return to its normal pace.
Take the next 30 seconds to just breathe naturally.
Settle further into your position and become more relaxed.
As you continue to breathe normally,
Imagine a warm yellow stream of positive energy passing into your body on each inhale.
Now that you have become more relaxed and more comfortable in your position,
I want you to imagine yourself where you feel most positive.
Utilize your imagination to picture that place in your mind.
This could be possibly a beach with the sun rising over the horizon where you may see a beautiful mixture of pinks,
Oranges,
Reds,
And yellows as the sun slowly rises out of the ocean.
Maybe it's a family gathering where you are surrounded by friends and family.
You hear laughter.
You feel the sensation of a warm hug from a family member or a friend that you haven't seen in a very long time.
These are just some of the examples of places that you might find positive energy that you can carry forward with you through this meditation and into your day.
So imagine wherever you find yourself when you are the most positive,
And visualize it as clearly as you can and in as much detail as you can in your mind.
Be sure to include any sights of the surroundings.
Imagine all the various colors that you might see in this image in your mind.
Allow them to cascade onto one another and help lift your spirits up and increase your level of positivity.
Pay close attention to the sounds of that place in your mind.
Hear them as they lighten your heart and melt away any negativity you might have brought into this meditation or be experiencing in your life.
Take a moment to imagine the smells associated with that place.
Inhale the pleasant aromas of that space and let it fill your sense of smell,
Putting you further and further at ease.
Now utilize all the senses and hold them in your mind as you visualize this place of positivity.
As you do so,
Continue with each inhale to pull in that positive energy.
Imagine the color of that energy,
Whether it be yellow,
Blue,
Green,
Or another color that you associate with positivity.
Each time you inhale,
Imagine that breath coming with the color and allow it to fill you up and increase how positive you are feeling in this moment.
Now we are going to take the next minute to allow you to continue to visualize this place of positivity.
Please continue to breathe normally,
Relax,
And focus on this place.
Now as you continue to envision this place in your mind,
I want you to create an anchor for yourself to remind you of this positive place.
An anchor is a physical sensation that helps you lock in and be associated to this level of positivity that you are currently in.
This could be something as simple as touching your index finger to your thumb or holding your elbow with your palm of your hand.
It can be anything you want,
As long as it is something you can easily do to help remind yourself to be positive and remind yourself of this place in your mind.
Now that you have your anchor,
We will begin to close out the meditation for today.
Remember your anchor whenever you want to come back to this place of positivity so that you can easily do it by associating that physical touch.
Now when you are ready,
Let's slowly come back to the present moment.
Continue to breathe normally,
Open your eyes if you have closed them,
And begin to come back to the world.
Through this meditation I hope you will go and take this feeling of positivity you have created for yourself into your day and into the world.
