It is a practice of grounding, self compassion, and remembering that you are whole, worthy, and enough just as you are.

Find a comfortable position,

Either seated or lying down.

Gently close your eyes.

Take a deep breath in through the nose and let it go out through your mouth.

Again,

Breathe in,

Filling your body with fresh air,

And exhale,

Releasing any tension.

Allow your body to soften,

Your mind to quiet,

And your heart to open.

Bring your awareness to the ground beneath you.

Feel the support.

Remind yourself,

I am safe,

I am here,

This moment belongs to me.

Notice your breath,

There is no need to change it,

Simply watch the rise and fall.

With every inhale,

Imagine drawing in strength and peace.

With every exhale,

Imagine letting go of old burdens,

Stories,

Or expectations that no longer serve you.

Now picture yourself walking along a path.

This path represents your recovery,

Your journey.

Perhaps it's shaded by tall trees,

Perhaps it's open and filled with sunlight.

Trust the image that comes to you.

With each step,

Feel yourself moving closer,

Not to a place outside of you,

But to the truest,

Most whole version of yourself.

Along the way,

Notice how air feels lighter,

Notice how your shoulders relax,

How your heart feels softer.

You are shedding the weight of the past,

You are walking home.

At the end of the path,

You see a doorway.

This doorway leads to your inner home,

The space within you where you are always safe,

Always accepted,

Always loved.

When you step inside,

Notice the warmth,

The peace,

The sense of belonging.

Here there is no judgment,

Here you are enough,

Exactly as you are.

Take a deep breath and whisper silently to yourself,

I am home,

I am whole,

I am free.

Rest in this feeling of homecoming for a few breaths.

Allow gratitude to fill your heart,

For the strength to heal,

For the courage to recover,

For the gift of this moment.

When you are ready,

Slowly bring your awareness back to your body.

Wiggle your fingers and your toes.

Take one final deep breath in,

And when it feels right,

Gently open your eyes.

You can return to this home within yourself anytime,

Through your breath,

Your awareness,

And your choice to be present.
