Good morning and welcome to this morning meditation of the five elements earth,
Water,
Fire,
Air and ether.
Get into your meditation seat or sit on a chair so that you are sitting on your sitting bones and your spine is straight.
Close your eyes.
Morning has a very specific energy.
The world is awakening.
Try to feel that energy.
Feel all of your touching points with the ground and let your breath get deeper.
The element earth sits in the area between the lower end of your spine and goes down towards your feet.
Imagine breathing in a white light into the pelvic floor area,
Making that area a little bit more glowing with every breath.
The element earth teaches us that in spite of all existential fears it is we who can bring stability into this world.
Repeat with me.
I am stability itself.
Often we look for external security,
But what we need is stability,
A deep sense of being at home in this world.
Relax your shoulders.
Relax your jaw.
Your spine is straight.
You're sitting stable on your sitting bones,
Majestic like a mountain in the Himalayas.
Repeat with me.
I am pure presence and there is only this one moment.
Feel how the air flows through your nostrils and follow your breath through your throat deep into your stomach.
Now bring your attention a bit higher between the genitals and the navel.
Breathe a wholesome white light in this area and make it glow a little bit more with every breath.
The element of water teaches us joy and feeling authentic.
We live in a society where we are constantly confronted with ideals that we sometimes unconsciously adopt.
The element of water whispers to you,
Allow yourself to feel.
Repeat with me.
I allow myself to feel whatever I feel.
Never forget whatever happens,
You will always look at the world from your own eyes.
You will never sit back and watch your life as a Hollywood movie.
Look inside yourself and listen to what your body demands,
What gives you pleasure.
Allow your uniqueness to rise.
Relax your eyelids.
Relax your lips.
And repeat with me.
Nature made me unique.
I will not let my fears make me standard.
Your spine is straight.
Relax your jaw.
Now bring your attention to the center of your body,
The solar plexus,
Above the belly button.
Inhale white light and let it gather in the middle of your body and let it glow a little bit more with each breath.
The element earth gives us stability.
From this stability comes the element water and gives us joyful vitality.
The element of fire now teaches us self-control,
The mastery of our body,
To direct it to goals.
Repeat with me.
My inner will is stronger than all my inclinations.
We often strive for outward demonstrations of power.
Our ego wants to surpass others.
But deep inside we feel that there is this one real victory when we control ourselves in thought,
Word and deed.
Your shoulders are relaxed.
Feel the air on your skin.
And repeat with me.
I am focused on my mission.
Relax your jaw.
Relax your eyelids.
Bring your attention to the area between your sternum and your neck.
And breathe a wholesome white light into this area.
And make it shine a little bit more with each breath.
The element of air teaches us to be open and not to depend on our expectations.
Sometimes we tell ourselves that we need this or that in the future to be happy.
Or that we cannot do this or that.
The element of air teaches us that all this is just a breeze after wind.
The truths of yesterday can already be outdated today.
There is no moment in the future but only the now.
And this now demands only one thing.
Openness.
The now is stronger than all concepts and expectations.
Feel the air flow through your nostrils.
Try to subtly breathe in five times through the right nostril and exhale through the left nostril.
Now switch and breathe subtly in to the left nostril five times and out to the right nostril.
Everything seems so automatic over the years.
But let us bring back awareness into the smallest processes.
It's just unbelievable how much this alone can change our lives.
Your spine is straight.
Your jaw and shoulders are relaxed.
Now bring attention to your head and especially to your third eye between your eyebrows.
Let this area glow a little bit more with each breath.
White light to the third eye.
The element of earth gives us stability.
The element of water makes us feel.
The element of fire teaches us to control our life force.
The element of air teaches us not to impose any concepts until the eternal present.
And now the element ether teaches us to trust our deepest wisdom.
Often we try to get to the truth through thinking and forget that thinking is just a tool.
You are not your thinking.
You are not your self-image.
But you are the silence behind it,
The eternal observer.
Repeat with me.
I identify with the silence preceding all thoughts.
Breathe in a little deeper.
Relax your eyelids.
Take the elements in you and with you into this day.
Even if the everyday conditions at work or privately do not always seem spiritual to you.
Remember that relaxing on a dream island is easy,
But to be fully engaged in everyday life and to bring in just a little bit of this eternal light is what makes the darkness shine.
You are your dream island.
Pure.
That is the high art,
The ability that makes us a blessing to our fellow humans and to ourselves.
Step out into the world.
You don't have to force yourself to shine.
Be in harmony with the elements and the light will shine through you.
