Music Loosens Deafness | Rumi Poem
by Wood
This poem by Rumi is a call to awaken from spiritual blindness. It reminds us that true joy, like the wine of divine love, cannot be grasped by ordinary senses. Instead, it invites us to let music loosen this inner stagnation and guide us back to a deep spiritual connection. Play, and let the spirit be heard. Mawlana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi, popularly known as "Rumi", is a 13th-century Sufi poet. Today, he is recognised as one of the greatest poets who ever lived, due in part to how his words seem to speak to the Divine. Photo by Massimiliano Morosinotto.
