Love Messengers | Rumi Poem
by Wood
In this poem by Rumi, love is portrayed as a nurturing, guiding force that leads us inward to deeper truths. It shows love as the mother of all, shining both visibly and invisibly, reflecting that divine essence within us. Mawlana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi, popularly known as "Rumi", is a 13th-century Sufi poet. Today, he is recognised as one of the greatest poets who ever lived, due in part to how his words seem to speak to the Divine. Photo by Alpert Wang. Translation by Coleman Barks.
