This poem by Rumi takes us into the heart’s silence, where love’s transparent calligraphy helps the soul remember its divine essence. Mawlana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi, popularly known as "Rumi", is a 13th-century Sufi poet. Today, he is recognised as one of the greatest poets who ever lived, due in part to how his words seem to speak to the Divine. Photo by Kira auf der Heide. Translation by Coleman Barks.

I hear nothing in my ear but your voice.

Heart has plundered mind of its eloquence.

Love writes a transparent calligraphy,

So on the empty page my soul can read and recollect.
