Welcome.
Today I'll be guiding us through a restorative Shavasana.
Restorative Shavasana is great to help you recharge your energy and reclaim your inherent worthiness of rest.
It's great to do if you feel tired.
Or simply want to rejuvenate every part of your body.
To get started,
You'll need a.
.
.
Thick pillow or bolster.
And maybe a folded blanket for your head.
And maybe an extra blanket for grounding or warmth.
And I'm actually going to show you how to support the bolster with two blocks.
So that the bolster or pillow is slightly elevated about 45 degree angles.
And this is going to assist.
Your knees to be bent.
So either putting the bolster against two blocks on their lowest height.
Making a 45 degree angle and you'll notice here that my knees are bent.
And then go ahead and lie down.
Placing your head on your support.
If you have an eye pillow,
You can use that as well.
We'll take three deep releasing breaths out through the mouth.
To settle into the ground.
With each breath out,
Feel your back body getting heavier.
And start to notice which parts of your back body are touching the earth.
Mentally scan where your back body meets the floor.
The back of the skull.
The back of the shoulders.
Heart,
Back of the heart melting into the floor.
Your whole spine,
Back ribs.
Your lower back spreading.
Melting into the earth.
Thighs heavy,
Back of the knees connected to the bolster or prop.
Back of the calves and back of the heels connected to the earth.
Your whole back body.
Completely supported.
Notice what it feels like.
To feel.
Supported in the back body.
Might you for just a breath.
Allow yourself to be held.
And then turning your awareness to your flow of breath.
Natural breath.
Expanding,
On the inhale in your belly.
And falling back down on the exhale towards your spine.
Trace the flow of your breath a few times on your own.
Vital life force energy.
Flowing in on the breath.
Rejuvenating every cell of your body.
And the life force energy spreads throughout your body on the exhale,
Taking healing energy to wherever it's needed in your physical body.
Nothing for you to do here.
Simply relax.
Every day.
Heart.
Of your body starting at the top of the head.
Relax your brain.
Let your eyes be heavy.
Soften the cheekbones and the jaw.
Relax your neck and shoulders.
Arms at rest.
Palms of your hands free.
Fingers,
Unclenched.
Imagine a warm golden light at the center of the heart as you inhale.
And as you exhale,
The warm golden light spreads throughout your whole body.
Soften the area in your chest.
That your belly Be supple.
No need to tighten the belly,
The abdomen can be free.
Of any tension.
Relax your hips.
You're growing.
Soft,
Soft groin,
Soft hip flexors.
From the hip.
Down to the knee joint.
Effortless.
Thanks.
From the knee joint to the ankles.
Lower legs at rest.
Calves and shins.
Are at ease.
Tops of the feet.
And toes.
And the spaces between your toes.
Completely at ease,
At peace.
May you rest here.
For the next few minutes on your own.
In your own.
Beautiful.
Energy.
I'll bring you out when it's time.
You're welcome to stay in supported savasana.
As long as you have the time for today.
Maybe five or 10 more minutes.
To allow your whole nervous system to reboot.
As long as you need.
If you're ready to transition out of this practice,
You can start to deepen your breath.
Wiggle your toes and fingers.
Take a full body stretch.
Like you're waking up in the morning.
Bend your knees.
And roll over to one side.
Pausing there.
Feel the earth support you.
As you press up.
To seated.
Take a couple breaths to feel your body weight.
Completely grounded.
And notice how you feel after supported shavasana,
Deep rest.
In your mind,
In your body,
In your energy.
And take whatever benefits you experienced with you throughout the rest of your day,
Your evening,
Your night,
Your week.
Thank you for practicing with me.
Namaste.
