Welcome.
Before we begin,
Please note the decision is not a substitute.
For professional medical.
Or psychological care.
If you are driving,
Or operating heavy machinery.
Please don't listen now.
This session is for anyone who has sat down to meditate.
And found themselves trying to stop thinking.
If that feels familiar.
You are in the right place.
There is one belief.
That almost everyone brings into meditation.
The belief that you have to stop thinking.
But this belief,
Is self.
A form of grasping.
Or demand that things be different from how they are.
Many people sit down.
And immediately begin a whirl A thought appears.
They push it away.
Another appears.
They push harder.
End the session as more exhausted,
Than when it started.
Not because something went wrong.
But because something That was never the enemy was being fought.
For a moment now Just sit.
Let your body be as it is.
No need to adjust anything.
Fill your hands.
Don't move them.
You don't have to do anything.
They are already here.
The weight.
The contact.
The faint pressure where they meet the body.
All the air.
Stay here.
Nothing to improve Nothing to reach.
Just this.
The quiet presence.
That does not need your help.
Breeding is already happening.
You're not doing it.
It is already being done.
Air comes in.
Air leaves.
On its own.
You don't need to guide it.
You don't need to deepen it.
Let it move exactly as it is.
Stay with this.
And as you see it Thoughts may appear.
Let them.
No need to respond.
No need to finish the thought.
Let it remain unfinished.
Even if it feels incomplete.
Leave it exactly there.
Now,
Instead of moving toward them,
Or trying to move them away.
Just remain where you are.
Imagine children playing outside.
Running Laughing making noise You could go out and start directing them.
Don't run like that.
Be quieter.
Do it this way.
And the moment you do.
Something closes.
The natural movement breaks.
Or you stay inside You don't stop them.
You don't guide them.
You don't manage anything.
And the children play fully.
Freely and when they are done.
They come inside on their own.
Thoughts are the same.
They appear.
They move.
They pass.
Not on your timing.
Not by your control.
But when nothing interferes.
They pass.
When you try to push your thought away.
You are still feeding it with your attention.
That is why it stays exactly where it is.
If a thought comes,
Leave it where it is.
Don't touch it.
Don't move it.
Don't continue it.
Let us stay without you.
If another comes.
Leave that one too.
No salting.
No choosing.
Everything stays on its own.
There is nothing you need to do.
If you find yourself try.
That's okay.
You can leave that as well.
Just see it.
Nothing is a require.
Nothing is missing.
Setting is already complete.
Reading continues.
The body rests.
Thoughts more.
Nothing needs to be stopped.
Nothing needs to be changed.
Even the movement of thoughts.
Does not need to stop.
Even rest release sniffs can stay.
Even those who are deeply practiced.
Still have thoughts.
They come.
They go.
The difference is simple.
There is no one trying to stop them.
So,
For a few moments.
Let everything be as it is.
Don't move toward anything.
Don't move away from anything.
No control.
No resistance.
No management.
Every grass peeing.
Closes the door.
The same door you are trying to open.
But when you stop,
Demanding stillness.
It arrives on its own.
Stay here.
Just this.
If something moves,
Let it move.
If something stays.
Let it stay.
Stay here.
And when you're ready,
Feel your hands again.
The weight the contacts.
Nothing has changed.
And nothing needed.
There is nothing to carry from this.
Nothing to hold.
Just this simple thing.
So nothing.
Needed to be stopped.
Thank you for sitting.
