Meet your Teacher

Teresa McLean is a Registered Massage Therapist, meditation guide, and creator of The Quiet Becoming. With over two decades of experience working with the nervous system through body-based care, Teresa supports people in slowing down, reconnecting with themselves, and finding steadiness during times of transition. Her work integrates trauma-informed principles, somatic awareness, and gentle mindfulness, offering practices that are accessible, calming, and deeply human. Teresa’s teaching style is rooted in presence rather than performance, emphasizing safety, self-trust, and compassion over striving or self-improvement. Lovely wise teacher with a soothing voice, but somehow the early and mid chapters made me feel much worse in my current difficult situation. One can't always intellectually let go of bodily vigilance and peacefully allow fear to coexist when living in overwhelming physical and emotional duress. I found suggestions in the last two chapters more helpful.
