After playing together, many people feel looser and less guarded. In one study of healthy adults, that settled state came alongside a measured rise in natural killer cell activity, the immune cells that patrol the body for infected or stressed cells (Bittman et al., 2001). This shift runs opposite to the usual stress pattern, though it is not something you feel directly.
