The call to prayer is a beautiful living tradition of Islam wherein no matter what one is busy with, either work or pleasure this sacred call summons us to bow our heads in reverence and awe to the One behind all our trivial challenges in life.

I am part of a twelve-step program and use this very much in the beginning when I explored my higher power and what God is to me. For a period of time I have neglected my relationship with my higher power and now listened again and was reminded of what God and my twelve-step meetings mean for my recovery.
