Maybe you didn't quit.
Maybe you walked away from that thing,
That person,
That work,
That life.
That habit that no longer served you.
Maybe you recognized all the ways that God within had been pointing you in a different direction.
In a direction that pointed you back to yourself,
To your home,
To your soul.
To your self-worth.
Maybe when you tried to push against that natural pull,
You were met with obstacle after obstacle,
And maybe they were reminding you that you had outgrown it.
You had evolved past that thing,
That relationship,
That work.
That kind of life.
And you clung a little tighter because change is scary.
But once you opened your hands and let it all go.
You are set free.
Free to live your next adventure,
The one that fits this version of you,
The one that feels like peace and surrender,
The one that doesn't require you to work so hard to fit neatly into that box that was placed before you that you thought would hold you forever.
Maybe you did quit.
And maybe you were set free.
So what is that thing that you cling to?
That way of being that you've outgrown in your godly home within you.
And what would happen if you unclenched your hands and stopped holding your breath?
If there was nothing left to prove.
Who would you be?
And would the net catch you?
And what it set you free.
I invite you to breathe deeply.
To reflect on these words and these questions and sit still with me for a bit.
To allow yourself time and space for the answers within you to arise.
Is there something that you cling to?
That you can feel slipping from your grip.
Is there something that you've walked away from because you knew it was the only choice?
Maybe just for now,
You envision yourself letting it all go.
And being okay.
Here in this moment.
Wrapping yourself in love and care.
Understanding for your journey.
Witnessing your choice as the next step in your evolution.
Not failure.
But gross.
So maybe you didn't quit.
Or maybe you did.
And maybe it doesn't matter.
Because you were set free.
I'm sending you all my love as you continue to navigate this wild and crazy journey called life.
Take care.
