"My True Story"

This is a poem I wrote about an experience I had with Jesus. This was over 44 years ago, but my faith is strengthened when I remember it - especially in the trials. I remember, I was not looking, but my life changed overnight after this experience. With all the chaos in this world and personal struggles as well, I have come to realize that the most important thing in my life is my relationship with God. This is infinite and so real. As I get older, this verse echos in my mind, "We do not lose heart. Even though our outward self is wasting away, our inward self is being renewed day by day." 2 Corinthians 4:16 As I was reflecting on that time remembering how real it was , I collected my thoughts and put them into this poem, and I felt led to share it. I know we all come from different traditions and beliefs, but I appreciate the respect shown on this platform and am grateful to share my story in a poem .
