Welcome.
It's so good to have you here with me today.
My name's Sim and you might know me as Simanette Vya.
Being on my own in nature has been a place of great solace,
Which is comfort,
Healing and inspiration.
And I would like to offer this meditation to you in order for you to also experience within your own comfort and solace in nature,
To experience and be open to the inspiration that can arise when we have time on our own with our own thoughts being present in the beauty of nature,
Her fierceness,
The rugged,
The juicy,
The moist,
Such a variety of temperatures,
Of moments that we can enjoy.
Nevertheless,
Returning back to the beautiful source of comfort and inspiration that nature can supply for us.
Take a few moments now to get comfortable.
Notice how your legs are positioned and maybe you might like to just move your body gently,
Rocking from side to side,
Finding just that most comfortable position.
Maybe moving the head,
Tilting from side to side,
Back and forward,
Finding that comfortable position where you can rest now,
The whole body feeling at ease and comfortable.
I'd like you to take three deep,
Meaningful breaths,
Breathing low down into your diaphragm as you exhale with a gentle sigh,
Finding comfort and reassurance in the breathing,
The body enjoying the steeper breathing.
When you've finished those three deep,
Beautiful breaths,
Allowing for the breath now to fall to its own natural rhythm and you can remain attentive to that rise and fall in your area of your chest,
Finding that soothing and comforting.
And you might be aware of some thoughts,
Impressions,
Perhaps the mood of the body,
The busyness maybe of the mind.
And you're observing the thoughts or observing the mind,
The contents of the mind.
Then you can allow for them to just drift into the background like the stars in the sky at night.
Bright lights sparkling.
They're there for you.
You can give them attention at any time.
And for now you want to be able to come into the area of your heart and to be able to open up the mind to this very blank screen perhaps like the night sky when the clouds have covered the stars.
And there is the void,
The void which is rich with potential and beauty.
And so let's go into the imagination and let's go into this void of potential,
The imagination of potential.
And you're guiding yourself for the healing,
Loving energy of nature,
Your nature.
And you're opening up to that void with your observation,
Your attention.
And your attention is like the light,
The sun shining,
Bringing forth all of the growth and the beauty that you can see before you.
And so your light shines the way.
And where you give attention there can be growth,
There can be lushness.
And so the void is filled with the light from your warm,
Loving heart and gaze as you look compassionately at beautiful nature,
Mother Nature.
And notice what images and impressions come to your mind as you shine your light of attention.
And yes,
We know there has been so much destruction,
Pain and hurt.
I'd like you to shine your light,
Your feeling compassionate light on those parts of this beautiful planet that you feel inspired by and how Mother Nature can grow strong and flourish in abundance through your gaze and through your action.
And so I'd like you to get that sense now of walking along whatever field that is that you've found yourself in.
It might be a field,
It might be a seascape.
Notice how you feel as you gaze upon it with your light.
Feel connected,
Feel determined,
Determined to contribute in healing and healthy ways,
Gathering together with others that share your vision,
Your drive,
Your inspiration.
And so you can hold the intention of your gaze.
May I do no harm.
May I walk lightly on this beautiful planet.
May I be mindful,
Mindful in my deeds,
In how I distribute the goods,
My efforts,
My labour.
May I be thoughtful.
May I become aware and educate myself.
How can I contribute to growth and to harmony with nature,
With others,
With myself?
And as I come home to my own heart of loving compassion,
Kindness,
May I tend to the nature that is near me and around me.
May I cause no harm.
May I walk lightly on this beautiful planet.
And so as you rest back there now in your own place,
Connected,
Healing,
Whole,
Being able to give back,
To tend and to take care of our beautiful environment,
Our world,
Your neighbourhood,
Your community,
Your backyard,
Your pot plants,
Beautiful Mother Nature,
Thank you so much for all that you provide for the life that we can live only because of you.
We are grateful,
So grateful for the oxygen that we breathe.
We are sorry for causing so much pollution and harm.
And we can breathe a little easier with the acknowledgement,
With the intention to cause no harm,
To seek to live in harmony and appreciation of the beauty of nature,
To learn more of those ways that sustain beautifully this compassionate ecology that we call home.
And so bringing back with you the insights,
Bringing back with you that connection,
How you can contribute,
Bringing that back with you now just behind your eyes to the void,
Allowing for the stars to appear in the sky,
The twinkle of hope and joy and those sparkles when you open your eyes can be seen by your friends,
Your companions,
By others,
A sparkle in your eye of joy and contribution and so reorientating yourself back into your space there,
Your room and opening your eyes and allowing for your light to shine a path,
A path of compassion,
A path of recognising the connection to everything and everyone.
Thank you so much beautiful.
Love to hear more from you of how you will contribute in your way,
Your unique way.
Much love from me.
Bye for now.
