Put that Introducdation into your workbook she dropped it into herjpg Peacemaking.
This is a visualisation meditation about peacemaking.
Allow the time you need to settle into a quiet place where you feel a measure of connection with your heart and mind.
You may want to use a relaxation exercise,
A mindfulness practice or prayer to assist you in this process.
Become aware of your breath.
Follow it for a time,
In and out.
Allow your attention to rest on your breath.
Gently and repeatedly return your attention to your breath.
Some people find it helps to focus on the sensation of breathing in one place,
Perhaps the nose,
Shoulders,
Chest or abdomen.
When you become distracted and aware of thoughts,
Ever so briefly note the content and then gently return to your focus on the sensations of breath in this part of your body.
With eyes closed,
See yourself where you are sitting.
Allow yourself time to rest in a sense of peace.
You may wish to pray for peace or to visualise a sense of peace surrounding and flowing through you.
You may wish to see this peace touching you,
Body,
Mind and spirit changing you.
Take the time that you need.
In your mind's eye,
Let this peace expand from you to your home,
To your wider family and friendship network,
To your workplace.
Your neighbourhood.
Your city.
Your nation.
And then finally the globe.
You may wish to pray for peace or visualise a sense of peace surrounding and flowing from you to these places.
Again,
You may wish to see this peace touching people around you,
Body,
Mind and spirit changing them.
Do not rush away from this exercise.
Repeat these steps as necessary.
If heart prompts arise or particular relationships and possible actions come to mind,
Gently note them so that you can remember them later and then return to the visualisation.
When the time you have allocated is over,
Return to a sense of yourself in a particular house,
Room and chair.
Take some time to notice your responses.
Does the next step suggest itself?
You may wish to journal about this experience or to discuss it with a friend.
