Welcome,
Dearest ones,
To this meditation of affirmations for forgiveness.
I invite you to find a comfortable position seated or lying down.
If you wish,
Place one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in.
Exhale through the mouth.
Inhale,
Feel your belly and chest expanding.
Exhale,
Feel your body softening.
Close the eyes if you wish.
Sense the beating of your heart,
Your beautiful,
Precious heart.
Affirmations are an invitation to welcome new ways of thinking,
Of feeling,
And of being.
They may not seem true at first,
But the more we repeat an affirmation with a strong,
Positive emotion,
The more that affirmation becomes possible.
So I invite you to do your best to conjure the good feeling emotion that feels connected to each affirmation.
You may remember a time when you felt this uplifted feeling,
A specific experience,
Or you can just use your imagination to conjure this feeling,
Helping to create new pathways in the brain and new ways of being within your own self.
Forgiveness is freedom.
