Haunting and beautiful. Normally ambient music relaxes me to the point that I fall asleep (neurological sleep condition) first thing in the morning, but this did not. This piece quickly shifted me into a state of deep rest and peace, while enabling me somehow to remain awake and alert with no hint of sleepiness. (That sleepiness returned within moments of the track's end, unfortunately.)
I rely heavily on various acoustic frequencies and oscillation patterns to help with brainwave entrainment - years as an audio technician helped me figure out this works well for me and is a nice non-pharmaceutical solution for many of my needs. Listening while looking out my window over the acres of countryside we live on is even better, having studied the effects of nature (sounds and presence of natural vegetation) on psychological aspects of well-being during graduate school as I debated moving into music therapy or vocational psychology with an emphasis on person-environment fit. (I chose the latter option. Hint - green is good. ☺️)
This piece is pure brilliant bafflement to me - it sounded like it should have been a sleep-inducing track, especially after I just woke up, but instead it engaged my mind, I became centered, ad immediately my creative juices started flowing, as I considered which of the many birthday gift options I wanted to give to my husband today. I'd been stuck for days, yet less than a minute into this, I had a crystal clear idea emerge.
This track is being bookmarked and downloaded. Beautiful, energizing in a calm, deliberate way, not frantic or chaotic, just quietly guiding one into a clear, relaxed, grounded, and calm place that I, for one, have had difficulty reaching lately amidst the turmoil of the pandemic.
Thank you so very much for sharing this gorgeous gift of music with us here in the Insight Timer community. I see you and the light within you. Be well. 🤲🏻❤️🤲🏻
