Details

The annual Summer Solstice Goddess retreat is a radiant retreat for celebrating the longest day of the year in an exclusive, small-group setting. Our days are a flowing balance of activities to support you in a refreshing life reset immersed in the quiet of nature. We wake early for morning meditation, breathwork, and hatha yoga then roll into a morning program designed to support you through journaling and earthing practices like a silent trail walk or a woodland hike into forest bathing. The meals are nourishing farm-to-table, locally sourced, vegetarian offerings. You will enjoy the starry night sky as we celebrate the solstice around a fire drumming and singing. There is free reflection time for you to hang in a hammock, read a book in the shade, watch the hummingbirds from the front porch, or visit the chickens. It is a true sanctuary and soul-soothing retreat experience.

This is a 120-year-old former tobacco farm. The large tent sits on a platform near the woods of this 8-acre property. The farmhouse is far enough away to offer privacy. The rolling field has been rewilded, and there are trails to walk, filled with wildflowers and grasses, birds, and endless views of the sky. This is a great place to stargaze!

Testimonials

info

I knew I needed to get away. I like my job, the people I work for, my partner and home. But I felt like exhausted and wanted to make changes to enhance my career and well being. I knew I would miss my husband and my dog, but it was completely worth the time and money. The retreat is set on a charming small farm west of Richmond. The setting was engineered by the owner, a Feng Shui master to foster well being. Nitya Living described the retreat as the “ultimate life reset, an investment in your well-being and authentic self”. And this it did! I began each morning with yoga, meditation and a yummy breakfast. I worried that I would not get coffee but I got a LARGE cup at breakfast each day. Nitya gave prompts that allowed me to ponder and journal. She distilled aspect of yoga to improve daily life. The library was full of helpful books that I looked over and peeked inside. Nitya picked out an optimal book for me to read which helped guide my renewal. I loved wandering around her lovely farm and saying hello to the friendly chickens. I found talking with Nitya created a reflective mindset that allowed me to process within myself. I remembered my values, discovered ways to create a path and the energy to move into the next year.

Best retreat I could ever give myself was this Goddess Solstice long weekend. Go for this retreat. After the second day there I felt clean like a new born. I was able to replace negative energy with a positive energy from mama earth.
