Details

A deeply personal 8-day residential immersion in Mysore, India without the overwhelm, created entirely around one individual, couple or family. The intention is simple: you should not need another retreat, teacher or wellness routine to feel well again. You leave with greater awareness, practical tools and a personal way of practising that can continue in real life, with greater independence and less dependence. This is not about stepping away from life for a temporary escape. It is about understanding what actually works for your body, mind, habits and everyday circumstances, and learning how to work with them long after the retreat ends. Guided personally by Aarti and Aditya, the experience draws from multiple paths of classical Yog, meditation, breathwork, nervous-system practices, sound, reflective work and practical nutrition. These are not offered as isolated experiences, but brought together according to what you genuinely need. With no large group or fixed template to keep pace with, there is time to practise deeply, ask questions, understand the why behind what you are doing, and make the practices your own. The atmosphere is intimate, unhurried and grounded. The larger goal is lasting self-reliance: to return home knowing yourself better, understanding what supports you, and having practices you can actually use when real life resumes.

Your stay is part of the retreat experience. You will live in a quiet, thoughtfully maintained home shared with your curators, with the comfort and privacy you need while still feeling warm, personal and lived-in. The experience goes beyond the room itself. There are shared spaces to eat, talk, read, rest or simply sit quietly, surrounded by greenery, a garden and mature trees. Fresh linen, towels, storage space, Wi-Fi, a study table and regular housekeeping are provided, and the yoga shala is a short walk away. The intention is for it to feel less like accommodation and more like being welcomed into a peaceful home for a few days.

Food is an important part of the retreat, but not in the form of a restrictive diet, detox or calorie-counting plan. Meals are guided by Yuktāhāra (युक्ताहार), a yogic principle rooted in the Bhagavad Gita, which emphasises balanced and appropriate eating, including the right food, quantity and timing according to your body, activity and daily rhythm. Expect fresh, seasonal, locally sourced, home-style meals with Mysore and South Indian influences, prepared by a local grandmother-led kitchen. The food is simple, nourishing and practical, with the larger intention of helping you understand a way of eating that can continue naturally at home, rather than something that only works during a retreat.

Schedule

Parivartan (परिवर्तन) means “change” or “transformation” i.e the name of this programme. The programme is built around meaningful, practical change that can continue long after you return home. Parivartan follows a personalised daily rhythm rather than a fixed retreat timetable. Mornings usually begin with guided movement, breathwork and quiet practices, followed by breakfast and time to rest. Through the day, sessions may explore movement, stress, habits, food, lifestyle, reflection and how you respond to everyday situations. Depending on what is useful for you, this may also include Raja Yoga, meditation, nervous-system-informed practices, Yoga Nidra, sound and chanting. Evenings are generally slower and may include meditation, deep relaxation, sound, chanting or quiet reflection. Some days may also include mindful walks or unhurried time exploring Mysore. The structure remains spacious and flexible throughout. Rather than asking you to fit into a fixed retreat routine, Parivartan evolves around you, your pace and what would genuinely be most useful for you. All sessions are 1:1
