Details

Imagine a quiet, nurturing few days where you can relax deeply, learn to meditate — or deepen your existing practice — and enjoy a simpler, slower pace of life. With everything taken care of, you’ll have space to step away from everyday demands, unwind and reconnect with yourself. Alongside meditation and mindful movement, there’ll be plenty of time to rest, read, walk, enjoy the natural surroundings or simply do nothing at all. Led by experienced teachers Matt Young and Deb Amos, the retreat is friendly, supportive and refreshingly laid-back. There are no pre-dawn starts, hours of enforced silence, long lectures or demanding schedules. Instead, you’ll be encouraged to find a way of practising that works for you. Throughout the retreat, Matt and Deb will introduce a range of practical approaches to meditation, share insights that can help you understand and deepen your practice, and create opportunities to ask questions and learn from the experiences of others. Whether you’re relatively new to meditation or have been practising for years, the intention is simple: to give you the time, space and guidance to slow down, practise well and return home feeling rested, refreshed and renewed.

Testimonials

info

The retreat was exactly what I needed — a place to relax and switch off my ‘doing’ brain. The meditations taught me to make space in my head from all the constant thought and left me much more refreshed than just a weekend away.

Rebecca Hale, Australia

Thanks to Matt and Debbie for the incredible four-day retreat. It was my first one but most definitely not my last. Matt was great in helping build a meaningful practice, combining thought-provoking discussions on the practice of meditation with varied sessions to help build my practice. I’ve gone from sitting frustrated for 10 minutes to enjoying calmness and tranquillity for half an hour in 4 days. Magic!

Nick H, Australia

Matt and Debbie provided us with an incredible experience. Their expertise in meditation and mindfulness was invaluable in deepening my own meditation practice and allowing myself to grow more personally. There’s also plenty of time for you to enjoy the natural scenery, delicious meals and your own company.
