Details

"Journey to the Self: A Wild Dolphins Retreat" is a five-day immersive experience in North Bimini for therapists, healers, helping professionals, and people seeking meaningful rest, reflection, and embodied learning. Set against clear water, open sky, and the natural rhythm of island life, this intimate retreat invites you to slow down and reconnect with yourself, community, and the living world around you. Through ocean time, guided somatic practices, reflection, meditation, Reiki, gentle movement, and supportive conversation, you will have space to tend to your own nervous system while exploring practical tools you can carry into daily life and client work. A central part of the experience is time observing wild dolphins in their natural habitat. Encounters are always weather-led and animal-led. Dolphins may come close or choose to keep their distance, and we never touch them. Water participation is always optional. This LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent-affirming retreat is designed with real nervous systems in mind. Rest, choice, opt-in and opt-out participation, sensory supports, and accommodation requests are welcomed. Created by a chronically ill ADHDer and therapist of color, Journey to the Self offers more than a typical retreat or lecture-based training. It is an invitation to rest, connect, learn, and return home with greater clarity, practical skills, and room to move forward. Presented by Wanderhome Retreats Therapists in the US and Canada can potentially earn up to 15 CEs. ASWB approved. Approval for counselors pending.

Come and experience the magical world of the wild dolphins of Bimini, while spending a week held in a loving, sacred container with a group of like-minded souls. This is a group retreat/wilderness experience, designed to re-connect us with ourselves, each other and the dolphins, in a loving supportive environment. All WildQuest retreats are run by our wild and beautiful international team – the WildQuest crew. Each crew member brings different gifts and skills, and a shared heart-centred desire to support your amazing experience in Bimini — both on and off the water. More like friends in a ‘human pod’, the crew have been working together for many years, with one goal: to create a transformational journey into the dolphins’ world, for you to meet the majesty of the ocean and most importantly, the sacred within you. WildQuest retreats are either led by world-class facilitators – animal communicators, yoga teachers, life coaches, energy healers and spiritual teachers – or by our resident WildQuest crew. Every week is different – choose the flavour that speaks to you!!! Each week is centered around the days on the water aboard our beautiful catamaran DolphinQuest, snorkelling and looking for the dolphins. It also includes a unique program of facilitator-led group activities depending on the flavour of the week. If you’re a facilitator and would like to being your own group, find out more. Every week we see transformation happen. WildQuest retreats can be powerful, expansive, and heartfelt. A vacation from your usual self. Expect much laughter, maybe tears, great new friendships and moments you’ll never forget. Nurturing exercise, mindfulness, wholesome healthy food, lazy days cruising out into open, warm, aquamarine seas to find the dolphins, chilling out on a boat-full of like-minded people, with loving support from WildQuest crew members and guest facilitators. What a delightful combination.

Testimonials

info

"I have attended several delightfully crafted activities, social in spirit and vibe, fun and playful, but also a cool, authentic way to meet therapists I need in my referral and collaboration network. Always up for events with you!"

Karen Smith, LCSW, United States

"I cannot recommend this retreat opportunity enough! It is incredibly cathartic, freeing and therapeutic (as well as bonding!). Kanjana is an incredible guide."

Catherine Hidalgo, LCSW, United States

"Kanjana is an excellent speaker and educator. I participated in a continuing education training for therapists focused on chronic illness, where she presented on the uncertainty of living with complex chronic health conditions. With both insight and warmth, she provided clinicians with practical guidance on supporting patients throughout their diagnostic journey. She also offered thoughtful perspectives on how somatic approaches can be tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals living with chronic illness. I highly recommend her trainings to any clinician seeking to deepen their understanding of this important area of practice."
