Jai Bhavani - Goddess Chant

Goddess Bhavani is a form of Goddess Durga. Bhavani translates to (Giver of Life), which also can mean the power of nature or the source of creative energy. Although the divine mother of the universe has many names, this is due to the mother taking many forms merged with various attributes, roles and actions. This peaceful and melodious chant in praise of the divine mother also showcases some of Indian Classicals most authentic instruments known as the Sarangi and Bansuri. The composition has been based on a classical raag (scale) known as Raag Maand. This particular raag is popular within Rajhasthan and the folk music which stems from there.
