I want you to find a comfortable position.

You can be sitting or you can lie down.

Let's find the most comfortable spot for you.

I'd like for you to close your eyes.

Try to let your face relax in the most comfortable position.

If you can,

Take in a deep breath and exhale.

We'll do that again,

But this time we're going to time how long we breathe in,

How long we hold it,

And how long we take to exhale.

This time we're going to breathe in more slowly,

Counting to five as you breathe in.

Then we will count to two,

And then we will exhale,

Counting to seven.

So when you're ready,

Breathe in,

Counting quietly to yourself to five.

Hold it for two,

And then exhale,

Counting to seven,

Quietly in your mind.

Let's try this again.

Breathe in for five,

Hold for two,

And exhale for seven.

You can always come back to this breathing pattern.

Now make sure again you are as comfortable as possible.

I want you to know that you are in the presence of God.

God is here with you,

And you are not alone.

God is pleased that you're thinking about Him.

God Himself is love.

God is not an impersonal force like electricity or gravity,

But rather God has the qualities of a person.

Like the ability to make choices,

God is free to make choices.

His ways are not the ways of human persons.

God is neither male nor female,

But Jesus taught us to call God Father.

This is a loving Father,

A Father with perfect love.

You are loved by God.

He has chosen to love eternally.

The entire physical universe and all existence is an outpouring of His love.

Return to your breath.

Breathe in slowly for five,

Then hold for two,

Then exhale for seven.

Within the nature of God,

There is more than only the Father.

We say God is love.

This is not the same as saying God loves or God expresses love.

To say that God is love means to say that all of the love you have ever experienced or given was actually God Himself.

To be love means that God is not only the lover,

But is also the loved.

The loved also has the qualities of a person,

And this person we call God the Son.

It was God the Son who entered time and space and became incarnate in the person of Jesus Christ who is both truly God and truly a man.

Return to your breath,

Breathe in slowly for five,

Then hold for two,

Then exhale for seven.

God is the lover and the loved.

God is also the love between the lover and the loved.

This third person of the Trinity we call God the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit might be the most mysterious of the three.

The Holy Spirit is the love between the Father and the Son that fills the world.

This love is here with you now.

God is with you here,

Right now.

God is with you always,

Sustaining your very life by His love.

So you are not alone.

You are never alone.

God is listening.

You can begin to talk to Him.

You can begin to listen to Him speaking in your heart.

One of the best descriptions of the love of God in easy-to-understand terminology.

I loved this. Start and end bells are familiar to me. The concept here is a fresh and welcome perspective of something I had classified as unknowable yet observable. MANY thanks for your work. Peace be with you. ❀
