Today is a fresh start,
A brand new day.
Yesterday is behind me,
Along with any regrets,
Mistakes or failures.
I'm grateful for the chance to begin again.
Today is a new opportunity to love,
Give and be everything you've created me to be.
As I begin this day,
I want to keep you in my thoughts and heart.
Let me wear the spiritual armor you've provided,
The helmet of salvation,
The breastplate of righteousness,
The shield of faith,
The belt of truth,
The shoes of peace and the sword of the Spirit.
Let my words be filled with praise for you.
Nourish me with your spiritual food.
As the bread of life,
Your sustenance will carry me through any challenges.
Help me focus on what really matters and speak only words that uplift others.
Guide me to avoid saying anything unhelpful and guard my heart.
Whatever I do today,
Let it be done with excellence,
Not perfectionism,
As I strive to make a difference,
Not just a name for myself.
Help me treat everyone I meet with respect and love,
Forgiving and asking for forgiveness.
As I step into this day,
Remind me that I belong to you and I want to live in a way that reflects that.
Keep me steady on my path,
Free from distractions that could pull me away from what truly matters.
I'm proud to be your child God and I'm so grateful for your sacrifice,
For your resurrection that fills each day with your love,
The freedom of your spirit and the joy of knowing you.
Today and every day,
I want to live my life for you.
