Menopause changes our bodies and how we experience ourselves and our lives. Yet the accepted narrative so often tells us to brace ourselves — for the symptoms, the disruption, the things that may become harder, and everything we may lose along the way. But what if menopause could also bring something unexpected? What if, amongst all that change, there were gifts to be discovered? 'The Gifts of Menopause' reframes this powerful time in a woman’s life by looking beyond the stories we have been told. Together, we explore the changes menopause brings, the gifts that emerge through them, and how we can begin to live those gifts. Because the years after menopause can be years of expansion, discovery, pleasure, meaning, contribution, and new experiences — years in which we understand more clearly what matters to us and become increasingly intentional about how we want to live.

Natalie Barney is a teacher and meditation guide whose own journey with menopause began thirteen years ago. Over those years, she became increasingly aware of the profound ways menopause changes women — not only physically, but in how they see themselves, what matters to them, and how they want to live. Her experience led her to question the familiar narrative of menopause as something to battle or a period of decline, and to explore how some of these changes actually bring women closer to themselves. In 'The Gifts of Menopause', Natalie invites women to discover what these years can give them and how, rather than becoming less, they may in some ways be becoming more.
