Hello and welcome to your meditation practice for today.
I'm honored to hold this space for you and so grateful that you've chose to tune in for today.
Today's meditation is going to be based around the heart chakra or anahata.
And the way this is going to work is I'll start by doing a little reading about the heart chakra and then we'll spend a moment in pure awareness in this silent meditation and then we'll end today's meditation with heart chakra affirmations.
Just some simple phrases and words that we can repeat to help balance and heal the heart chakra center.
So the heart chakra or anahata which stands for unstruck or unhurt in the Sanskrit translation is the fourth chakra and it's located in the place of the heart like near where your physical heart is in your body.
And it is the center of all the seven chakras.
There are three chakras below the heart,
The root,
The sacral and the solar plexus which represent personal and physical relations.
And then there are three chakras above the heart,
The throat,
The brow and the crown.
And these represent more of the spiritual and universal realms.
So the heart being right in the center of those three energy centers on the top and the bottom provides a link and it's a vital system connecting the physical realm to the spiritual realm and for the system as a whole.
This chakra or chakra is the center of love and forgiveness for both yourself and for others.
Love feeds us and heals us,
Giving us confidence to fulfill our hopes and dreams and break away from our pasts.
Love truly paves the way for us to embrace the present and the future.
The recognition that we are worthy of love and the capacity to settle into this support and nurturing from within can transform our relationships and it opens up space creating the possibility of compassion for ourselves and others.
Remember that your heart flourishes on joy and openness,
Sharing,
Touch and connection and our hearts contract with pain and loss,
Grief and trauma.
We must make peace with our emotions and release the emotional holdings from the past in order to heal and move forward.
So I believe by bringing attention to that heart center we can heal from our traumas and our grief and our loss and sorrows in the world even only if momentarily to feel a little respite from the waves.
One of the ways that we can do that is simply by focusing on that heart chakra center area.
As I mentioned earlier,
It's in the center of the chest near your physical heart in your body.
We'll calmly start to direct the breath into that area,
Noticing how it expands with the inhale and settles with the exhale.
You're not already in a comfortable position,
A restful yet alert position.
Go ahead and find yourself to that position now,
Making any minor adjustments to your comfort,
Adjusting hair,
Clothing,
Pillows,
Lights,
Anything else that may cause a distraction and allowing you to set the scene for again meditation.
That's totally optional but if you would like you may choose to close the eyes.
And allow your mindful breathing to take the front seat here for the next minute or so.
Just going to settle into that quiet space of awareness.
Amazing.
You See if you can get so quiet You can actually hear and feel your heart beating in your chest your ears Throughout your body keeping you alive and bringing all the vital nutrients To the right places the right time Remembering that your heart is the powerhouse of love Might choose to silently or Perhaps even out loud repeating these affirmations I am wanted and loved I am wanted and loved I accept things as they are I accept things as they are It is safe for me to love and be loved It is safe for me to love and to be loved Love and compassion are my superpowers Love and compassion are my superpowers I choose to be united with all beings visible and invisible in the realm of love and light I choose to be united with all beings visible and invisible in the realm of love and light I am compassionate and forgiving I give and receive love effortlessly I give and receive love effortlessly I willingly let go of the past and forgive myself and others I choose joy I see all things with loving eyes I choose peace I hold space for my grief and sorrow There is an infinite supply of love I live in balance with myself and others Now take a moment to allow those affirmations to resonate Take mental note if any of them stood out to you as particularly potent or powerful And perhaps continue to work with that affirmation throughout the rest of this week As we continue to heal our heart chakras and overcoming all of our heart chakra challenges grief and sorrow pain This is a never-ending cycle We don't just heal our heart chakras once and then you're good to go for the rest of your life This is a continuous practice of coming back to the heart and releasing that pain and trauma that gets built up there over time By allowing these emotions to be released We're healing ourselves and our energy centers,
Specifically the heart energy center which is the most vital of them all Thank you so much for joining me in today's meditation I hope that it has been beneficial to you and that you have a beautiful rest of your day Take care
