Close your eyes and forget everything you know about meditation.
Forget everything you know about yourself.
Who are you when you're not trying to be anyone?
Take a deep breath in and sigh it out.
Do it again,
And this time as if you are releasing centuries of tension,
A deep sigh like the universe itself is exhaling through you.
And now,
Laugh,
Yes,
Even if it feels silly,
Just chuckle,
Let it writhe like bubble.
This life is a cosmic joke,
Have you noticed?
You try to control and life laughs at you.
You chase happiness and it hides.
You surrender and suddenly,
Everything comes to you.
So right now,
Drop the effort,
Drop the control,
Drop the seeker.
Breathe and feel your body.
Wiggle your fingers and move your spine.
You are not a statue in meditation.
You are alive and your breath is a dance.
Your heartbeat is a drum.
Allow your body to move even slightly,
A little sway,
A roll of the shoulders,
A gentle shake.
Let existence move through you.
There is nowhere to go,
There is no one to become,
There is only this moment,
This breath,
This wild and beautiful mystery of being alive.
Sit in this presence for as long as you like and when you open your eyes,
See the world as it is,
As if for the first time.
