Hi,
Megan here with Libra Living Wellness Limited for the fourth video of Libra Living Liberations.
Today I want to talk about self-care.
Um We all know that self-care is important,
But a lot of times we don't make it a priority for ourselves.
Um personally i tried to meditate um and do like a 30 minute workout as part of my self-care routine however i feel like recently it became like a chore it wasn't I thought of it as a chore and it wasn't like exciting.
Nurturing so i've been trying to kind of change the way i look at it but also making it a priority because a lot of times i've been like oh i don't have time to do this today when I will sit on the couch and watch Netflix for like three hours.
And I was like,
Okay,
Wait a second.
I do have time.
It's just,
I'm not making it a priority.
And I think that's what happens with a lot of us.
Don't make things a priority we tend to just do things that we don't have to really think about like sitting on the couch or reading a book is good too that could be self-care but uh So I've really been kind of reflecting on this,
Especially getting closer to a new year.
We all set New Year's resolutions and things that we.
.
.
Want to do in the new year creating you know better habits healthier habits um but i encourage everyone to really Make that a priority in the new year.
Take care of yourself because when you do take care of yourself,
It allows you to be more productive.
I've been also really paying attention to more of that,
That when I'm overwhelmed or stressed.
I do what I have to do that day.
But then if I can,
Which usually I can,
I kind of take off the rest of the day and just do some self care because it does really help kind of.
Reboot yourself um so that's something i've been trying to really do myself so i encourage you to find things that you really enjoy and Don't make them feel like a chore,
But that they really bring you some peace.
For me,
It's listening to guided meditations.
Reading self-care books.
I am actually going to start to get back into journaling.
I know that's not for everyone.
I haven't journaled probably.
Journaled here and there like once every four months or something but when i was in high school i used to journal and again it's probably teenage years you know teenagers like to journal especially girls.
But yeah,
I encourage everyone to just,
Again,
Make that self-care a priority in the new year.
Put yourself first because then you can feel re-energized or energized.
I don't know what re-energized.
Um but you know what i mean and feel rebooted i guess is what i was trying to say i got rebooted and energized um stuck together um and be able to be there for other people as well because you first have to take care of yourself first so that way you can be there for others Until next time.
