Throat Singing: A Private, Personal Way to Distance Powerful Emotions

With Peter Brooks

Learn a quick and easy way to gain distance from strong feelings without drugs or alcohol. Just use your throat to focus, create vibration, and center. My classes cut straight to the point, you are going to think about stress, anxiety, and strong emotions differently. You are going to have specific tools and protocols to think about when a crisis or trauma occurs, and you will be able to help yourself and others. This is a proven practice that I will show as being inherent to all of us.

For millenia humans all over the world have used throat singing for emotional regulation.

Peter Brooks recognizes what has happened here and asks why, and what was lost. These can be painful questions and reconciliation is never easy, but there are ways to dull the pain. This is the commitment of this publisher — to share these techniques with future generations. Peter Brooks comes from generations of storytellers, his grandfather, Cab Calloway, was one of the greatest of them all and paved the way for so many to follow. Peter considers himself to be a helper, yet, nothing gives Peter greater pleasure than when he is singing. With each performance, he seems to achieve higher spiritual fulfillment and life satisfaction which is shared with the audience. His favorites include Bob Marley, Jerry Garcia, and of course his grandfather.
