The Journey Of Remembering

With Tracy McCree

There comes a moment when the stories you've believed about yourself begin to feel too small. The roles you've played. The identities you've worn. The expectations you've carried. What once helped you navigate life may now be inviting you to something deeper. The Journey of Remembering is an 8-day guided meditation course that gently explores the stories, beliefs, and patterns that shape your experience-and invites you to discover the quiet awareness beneath them. Through guided meditation, contemplative questions, visualization, and daily reflection, you'll explore: * The stories that define how you see yourself and others * The identities and roles you've learned to wear for safety, belonging, or approval * The beliefs and emotional burdens you may be carrying that were never yours to begin with * How relationships can become mirrors for greater self-understanding * The freedom that comes from loosening your identification with old patterns * How to bring awareness, presence, and choice into everyday life This course isn't about becoming someone new or fixing what's wrong. It's about remembering what has always been here beneath every story, every role, and every moment of forgetting. Whether you're new to meditation or have an established practice, these eight meditations offer a gentle path back to yourself-one question, one breath, and one remembrance at a time.

Meet your Teacher

Tracy McCree is a meditation teacher certified through the davidji Academy as a Master of Meditation and Deeper Still teacher. She is passionate about guiding others through practices of self-awareness, presence, and inner exploration, with a focus on reconnecting with the wisdom that exists beneath our stories, identities, and conditioned patterns. Her own journey of self-inquiry has deeply shaped her approach to meditation. Through years of exploring her inner world, she has discovered the transformative power of meeting ourselves with curiosity, compassion, and awareness. She is also deeply inspired by Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy and has used IFS practices in her own life to understand, connect with, and compassionately navigate her inner parts. Her teachings weave together meditation, contemplative inquiry, and the exploration of our internal landscape. She creates spaces for others to gently examine the roles they have learned to carry, the beliefs they have inherited, and the awareness that exists beyond them. The Journey of Remembering reflects her ongoing exploration of a simple yet profound question: What remains when we loosen our identification with the stories we have carried and remember what has always been here?

Lesson 1

The Hero’s Journey Home: What If Your Story No Longer Needs a Villain?

In this first remembrance, we begin by exploring the stories we create about ourselves, others, and our lives. Through guided visualization and self-inquiry, you will be invited to notice the roles of hero and villain, the meanings you have assigned to past experiences, and the possibility of seeing your story with greater compassion and spaciousness. This meditation introduces the metaphor of the “suit”-the identities, beliefs, and narratives we carry-and invites you to begin noticing what may no longer belong to you. Lesson 2

Meeting The Suit: The Identities We Wear

In this second remembrance, we begin exploring the identities and roles that shape how we move through the world. The “suits” we wear often develop as ways to create safety, belonging, or acceptance—but over time, we may forget they are something we wear rather than who we are. Through visualization and reflection, you will be invited to meet these identities with curiosity and compassion, discovering what they have been protecting and what becomes possible when you loosen your attachment to them. Lesson 3

Returning What Was Never Mine: Releasing The Weight We Carry

In this third remembrance, we explore the beliefs, responsibilities, and emotional patterns we may have carried without realizing they were never truly ours. Through the imagery of stones woven into the suit, this meditation invites you to gently examine inherited beliefs, expectations, and burdens with compassion. Rather than rejecting these parts of ourselves, we begin to recognize them, honor their purpose, and create space to release what no longer needs to be carried. Music: Motion by Liborio Conti

Lesson 4

The Mirror: What Is Life Revealing Through Others?

In this fourth remembrance, we turn toward relationships as mirrors for deeper self-understanding. The people in our lives can reveal our wounds, our patterns, our desires, and the places within us that are asking for awareness. Through guided reflection, this meditation invites you to explore your reactions and relationships with curiosity-not as blame, but as an opportunity to see yourself more clearly and respond with greater presence. Lesson 5

The Empty Suit: Who Am I Beyond My Identity?

In this fifth remembrance, we explore a profound inquiry: What remains when we are no longer identified with the roles, stories, and identities we have carried? Through the metaphor of the empty suit, this meditation invites you to experience the difference between what you wear and who you are. It is an invitation to rest as the awareness that notices thoughts, emotions, and identities without being limited by them. Music: Earth by Liborio Conti

Lesson 6

The Space Between Stories: Resting In Awareness

In this sixth remembrance, we move from exploring identity into the direct experience of presence. Rather than analyzing thoughts and stories, we begin noticing the space in which all experiences arise. This meditation invites you to rest in awareness itself—the quiet presence that exists before the next thought, beyond the need to define or become. Music: Blessing by Liborio Conti

Lesson 7

Walking Through The World Without The Suit: Living With Awareness

In this seventh remembrance, we bring awareness into everyday life. The goal is not to escape the human experience, but to meet it with greater presence and choice. Through guided visualization, you will explore the space between what happens and how you respond-the place where awareness creates freedom, compassion, and conscious action. Lesson 8

Remembering: What Remains When Nothing Needs To Be Fixed?

In this final remembrance, we bring the journey full circle. After exploring stories, identities, inherited beliefs, relationships, and awareness, we return to the simple question at the heart of this course: What are you remembering? This meditation invites you to recognize that transformation is not always about becoming someone new. Sometimes it is about returning again and again to what has always been present.
