Meet your Teacher

Brian Hyman, RYT, is a certified yoga and meditation teacher, dynamic speaker, multimedia artist, and trusted guide in the field of addiction recovery, blending mindfulness, movement, and spiritual practice to support lasting transformation. He has been working on the clinical team at a prominent treatment center for substance use disorders in Southern California since 2012, where he has helped thousands of individuals reconnect with themselves and build meaningful, sustainable lives in recovery. Brian is the Nautilus Award-winning author of “Recovery with Yoga: Supportive Practices for Transcending Addiction,” a book that integrates physical practice, breathwork, yogic philosophy, spiritual principles, and mindfulness teachings as powerful tools for healing. His work extends to the Insight Timer platform, where since 2016, he has shared insightful guided practices that have supported nearly two million people on their journey toward clarity and inner peace. Brian has been interviewed about his dedicated and innovative work by The Healing Place, Kaleidoscope of Possibilities, Bold Journey, Healing the Divide, and Canvas Rebel. His writing has appeared in Newsweek, Yoga Magazine, Well + Good, Yoga Journal, Mantra Wellness, and Whole Life Times. His solo exhibition of paintings “The Art of Recovery” premiered at Gardens of the World Gallery near Los Angeles in 2025.
