The Abundance Path

With Beverley Harper

Most teachings about abundance tell you to think differently. To believe harder. To raise your vibration and wait for results. This course takes a different view. Abundance isn’t something you acquire, it’s a state you learn to recognise. And that recognition begins not in your thinking mind, but in your body. Across seven lessons, psychotherapist and integrative trainer Beverley Harper guides you through the foundational practices that make abundance neurologically accessible: nervous system regulation, heart coherence, somatic joy work, and the quiet, often overlooked skill of receiving. Each lesson builds on the last, moving from arrival and regulation through joy, receiving, fear, and finally permission, closing with a practice in recognising the abundance that’s already present in your life. You will learn to feel the difference between survival mode and safety in your own body. To cultivate joy as a practised capacity, not a fleeting mood. To notice where you block receiving and begin, gently, to open the door. To meet fear with curiosity rather than resistance. To permit yourself, in small and practical ways, every day. This isn’t self-improvement. It’s a practice of returning to the present moment, to what’s already here, to the quiet abundance that has never required your circumstances to be different.

Meet your Teacher

Beverley is a psychotherapist of more than 20 years and clinical hypnotherapist. After decades of sitting with people in their most vulnerable moments, her work has evolved into sharing the simple, steady "techniques from the therapy room" that help people feel safer, softer, and more at home within themselves. At the heart of everything she teaches is a deep understanding than when people reconnect with their self-worth and understand their nervous systems, something powerful shifts. Old patterns loosen, mindsets become more flexible. And abundance, emotional, spiritual, and sometimes practical, begins to flow in a way that feels natural rather than forced. Her work weaves together psychological insight, nervous system–aware practices, soothing hypnotic guidance, and gentle mindset shifts to help people remember their worth and create an inner environment where calm, clarity, and possibility can take root. On Insight Timer, she shares calming practices, reflective teachings, self-worth and abundance guidance, and sleep support all offered with the intention of helping listeners settle their mind, soften their inner world, and feel supported as they step into their next chapter.

Lesson 1

Arriving And Settling

An introduction to the course and its approach, abundance not as something to acquire, but as a state to recognise. Beverley introduces the themes you’ll explore across the course, then guides a slow body scan from feet to head to bring you fully into the present moment, closing with a short practice in finding gratitude as a physical sensation. Start here if you’re new, or return here whenever you want to resettle into the work.

Lesson 2

The Nervous System Foundation

Abundance is neurologically inaccessible when your body is in survival mode, and most of us live in chronic low-grade activation without realising it. This lesson introduces the difference between regulation and dysregulation as felt experience in your body, with a paired practice to help you recognise and begin to shift your state. It then moves into heart coherence, the smooth, ordered heart rhythm that measurably expands your capacity for joy and connection, teaching the heart-focused breathing practice and the neuroscience behind why it works. Includes the 4-in, 6-out breath technique.

Lesson 3

Cultivating Joy

Joy is a capacity your nervous system either has practice with or doesn’t. This lesson moves through two connected practices: catching a small moment of joy before it passes, then exploring its specific signature in your body through a slow exploratory scan that builds emotional granularity. A gentle, expansive entry point well suited to new listeners.

Lesson 4

Your Joy Bank

A joy bank is a personal record of felt experiences your nervous system can draw on when it needs evidence that goodness is real. This lesson guides you to build one, gathering small, specific, sensory memories from the past week and encoding them more deeply by reading them back through the body. You will need something to write or record with for this lesson.

Lesson 5

Noticing Receiving

Most people are far better at giving than receiving. This lesson gently explores the receiving wound, the patterns of deflecting compliments, refusing help, and postponing rest through a series of quiet reflective questions. No fixing, no pressure. Just the kind of honest noticing that makes change possible.

Lesson 6

Letting Fear Be Your Companion

The subtler fears underneath our defended patterns- that joy won’t last, that we’ll be abandoned if we stop achieving, that being seen leads to rejection are not obstacles to abundance. They’re protective adaptations. This lesson introduces a different relationship with fear: not transcending it, but learning to let it ride alongside without letting it drive. Includes a guided practice in acknowledging, thanking, and moving gently forward.

Lesson 7

Permission And What's Already Here

The closing lesson, in two parts. First, one of the most practical practices in the course: permitting yourself to rest without earning it, to ask without shame, to feel good in an ordinary moment, starting with something genuinely small. Then, a slow, spacious closing practice in recognising abundance in the present moment, not as a future destination, including a full-body gratitude scan. Runs longer than the other lessons by design, giving these two practices the room they need. Abundance isn’t a place you arrive at and stay. It’s a practice you return to.
