Lesson 1

How We Make Decisions

Every day, we make thousands of decisions about what to do with our lives. Most of them are simple, often subconscious repetitions of previous decisions. Only a few are made out of a real, conscious desire. The achievement of conscious goals and objectives is often hindered by these subconscious imprints. Learn how a Sankalpa anchors conscious intentions and dissolves blockages.

Lesson 2

Fully Embrace The Here-And-Now

If we do not fully accept the here and now, this paradoxically hinders us from manifesting a different future for ourselves. Non-acceptance ties up vast amounts of energy that we could use in other ways. When we begin to formulate goals, this kind of acceptance frees us to recognize our deeper desires and not just act out of learned patterns.

Lesson 3

What Is "Free Will" Really?

Among philosophers and also in yoga, it is controversial whether free will is just a useful concept or a reality. Regardless of this, we must act as if we have a choice, as this is a basic condition of our lives in duality. In any case, our decisions are much more strongly determined by memories and subconscious imprints than we usually realize. So how do we distinguish between goals that actually help us move forward and those that are not really "our own"?

Lesson 4

The Positive Outcome

When you formulate a Sankalpa, it is important that you set yourself a goal that resonates with a deep need. It is not for nothing that the Sankalpa is sometimes also called the Heart's Desire. To recognize whether you have only set your goal with your head or whether your whole being is supporting it, we will work with the technique of positive outcome visualization.

Lesson 5

Needs And Strategies

Needs are behind everything we do and want. On this course day, we look at what needs are and what role they play in formulating our Sankalpa or objectives in general. This ensures that we do not produce undesirable or counterproductive results by working with Sankalpa, because - by nature - we cannot be aware of all of its implications in advance.

Lesson 6

Gratitude And Letting Go As Helpers Of The Sankalpa

Gratitude and letting go can massively increase the effectiveness of a Sankalpa. If you manage to cultivate gratitude as a basic attitude in your life, you will create a fertile breeding ground in your subconscious in which the seed of your Sankalpa can germinate and grow. On this course day, we will discuss how to cultivate gratitude and look at things from different angles.
