Recognize, Activate & Engage Your Intuition

With Alison Schuh Hawsey

Intuition is our inner knowing. It’s that little hunch, gut feeling, or even lightbulb moments that we experience when we feel something is right or wrong. When we’re uncomfortable and know we need to shift directions. It’s the beacon of light, the beacon of knowledge that is guiding us where we need to be heading or avoiding to thrive in life. This course is designed to show you the difference between leaning into your intuitional flow versus ignoring and even fighting your intuitional flow. I share stories, offer simple techniques, and will conclude each day with a meditation to acknowledge where you are and offer you a direction to where your inner knowing, your intuition, needs to be so that you shift today into a greater tomorrow.

Lesson 1

Define Intuition

Begin now to recognize intuition, our inner knowing—the ah-ha moments, those gut feelings, the lightbulb that flashes in your mind. Intuition is as intimate as a secret feeling within our being guiding, even mentoring, us through this lifetime. Ending with a journal prompt to allow you the time to recognize, connect with your inner light bulb, and engage your intuition.

Lesson 2

Embracing "I Knew It" Moments

Define the intuitional flow when you use the phrase “I knew it” by acknowledging what needs to be done and then acting on your next thought, idea, and feeling with courage and confidence, versus when you use the phrase “I knew it” then fight your intuitional flow by continuing to do the opposite of what you know you need to do, and getting frustrated when things don’t work out. Stay engaged with a journal prompt to acknowledge fear, forgiveness, and other stuck feelings that need to shift to allow courage and confidence to foster intuitional flow.

Lesson 3

Difference Between Advice & Approval

Honoring the intuitional flow by acknowledging the difference between seeking advice and doing what is best for yourself versus fighting the intuitional flow by seeking approval from outside influences because you feel they are more important than your gut feeling, also because then you have someone to blame if things don’t turn out as expected. Conclude with a journal prompt to raise the vibration of asking your intuition for advice first.

Lesson 4

Trust Is Clarity

Begin to trust your thoughts, feelings, and actions because you are shifting your focus to what is needed in your life versus fighting your intuitional flow because you only focus on what you want. You’re frustrated because things aren’t going your way, and/or you think you make poor choices. Today, we'll begin with a journal prompt to focus on trusting your thoughts, feelings, ideas, and direction.

Lesson 5

Restorative Time VS Fueling Exhaustion

Recognize your intuition knows your mind, body, and soul need time to restore and re-energize because you are not making smart choices versus when you’re fighting your intuition and beating yourself up when you take time to do nothing, vacation or play because you think doing nothing equals being lazy or irresponsible. Conclude with a moment to journal to embrace restorative time.

Lesson 8

Mistakes Are Necessary

Understanding perfection doesn’t exist, except if just for a moment, and that you are a human living in the flow of your intuition affords mistakes to present themselves to fill your life with additional lessons, knowledge, and wisdom versus fighting your intuitional flow and defining mistakes as punishments. Conclude with time to journal, allowing the softening of your mind to open space to hear what lessons, knowledge, and wisdom are ready to be heard through your intuition.

Lesson 9

Facts, Feelings & Figuring It Out

When you remain open to activating and engaging your intuition, you will be able to keep the focus on facts when feelings get overwhelming versus fighting your intuitional flow and leaning into who to blame when overwhelming feelings take the forefront of the moment, and things continue to go wrong. This lesson has two journal moments because it's time to listen to yourself.

Very good. Paradoxically, all of these points I have known intuitively but was not necessarily listening within myself. I would characterize the program as more affirming than presenting something new to me.
