This is a 12 day process. I give 5 stars because I enjoyed and the topics discussed and can see how it will be helpful. Once the 12 day journaling excericise is complete I’ll check back in with more input.

This is one of the first pieces I have seen that most accurately outlines the real causes of burnout. Unfortunately, it assumes that your manager has control over your workload, and doesn't take into account the fact that if things are taken off my plate, they will just be added to someone else's already unmanageable pile. In most companies I have worked for, my managers are getting pressure from layers and layers above, and all they have the power to do is look at me helplessly and tell me it isn't going to get any easier. There is an excellent suggestion, however, about requesting more training in areas you struggle with, because this struggle takes up a lot of energy.

This was really useful, lately it’s just expected for me to be doing overtime ( I don’t mind doing when asked) but don’t expect it. When I address this I’m told ‘you’re a manager’ - you need to. I’m also grieving and finding it difficult with my emotions lately and lesson 1 really helped me unravel that and look deeper into why I may feel burnt out.
