Lesson 1
Yama - Moral Restraints: 1st Limb Of Yoga
Our journey through the Eight Limbs of Yoga begins with Yama, the first limb and the ethical foundation of the yogic path.
We’ll explore the five Yamas — Ahimsa (non-violence), Satya (truthfulness), Asteya (non-stealing), Brahmacharya (moderation) and Aparigraha (non-attachment) — not simply as ancient teachings, but as living practices that can shape the way we relate to ourselves, to others and to the world around us.
Through reflection and an embodied meditation, you’ll be invited to move beyond understanding these principles intellectually and begin exploring how they can be felt, practiced and lived in everyday life.
As the opening lesson, we’ll also establish the foundation for the journey ahead and begin our exploration of yoga as something far greater than a physical practice — a path of awareness that reaches into every aspect of how we live.

Lesson 2
Niyama - Discipline: The 2nd Limb Of Yoga
The second limb of yoga, Niyama, turns our attention inward, exploring the practices that shape our relationship with ourselves and our inner life.
In this lesson, we explore the five Niyamas — Shaucha (purity), Santosha (contentment), Tapas (discipline), Svadhyaya (self-study), and Ishvara Pranidhana (surrender to the Divine) — and consider how these ancient teachings can become living practices in everyday life.
Through reflection and an embodied meditation, you’ll be invited to explore these principles within your own experience — cultivating greater self-awareness, intention and connection to the way you care for your inner world.
Together, the Niyamas offer a pathway toward living with greater clarity, contentment and conscious awareness.

Lesson 3
Asana - Physical Postures: The 3rd Limb Of Yoga
The third limb of yoga, Asana, invites us to explore the physical practice as a pathway into greater presence, awareness and inner steadiness.
In this lesson, we return to Patanjali’s simple teaching, “Sthira sukham āsanam” — posture is steady and easeful — and explore the two qualities at its heart: Sthira (steadiness) and Sukha (ease).
Through reflection and an embodied meditation, you’ll explore the relationship between strength and softness, grounding and spaciousness, discovering how these qualities can transform the way you experience your yoga practice.
As we take the teaching beyond the mat, Sthira and Sukha become an invitation to notice where life is asking us to stand more firmly, where we can soften, and how we might cultivate a more harmonious relationship between the two.

Lesson 4
Pranayama - Breath Control: The 4th Limb Of Yoga
The fourth limb of yoga, Pranayama, invites us to develop a more conscious relationship with the breath and the vital energy that moves through us.
In this lesson, we explore the breath as a bridge between body and mind, and discover how consciously working with the breath can influence our energy, attention and inner state.
Through the practice of Ujjayi Pranayama, or ocean breath, you’ll experience how a steady, rhythmic breath can become an anchor for awareness, cultivating greater focus, presence and calm.
Together, we’ll explore how Pranayama can support both your yoga practice and everyday life, giving you a simple and powerful tool you can return to again and again.

Lesson 5
Pratyahara - Withdrawal Of The Senses: The 5th Limb of Yoga
In this lesson, we explore Pratyahara, the fifth limb of yoga and the practice of gathering our attention inward.
We’ll explore our relationship with the senses and how Pratyahara can help us become more intentional about where our attention rests — allowing the world around us to remain present while becoming increasingly rooted within.
Through reflection and an embodied meditation, you’ll be guided into an inner sanctuary where the five senses become symbolic doorways, creating space to experience the quiet that emerges as awareness turns inward.
We’ll also explore simple ways to bring Pratyahara into everyday life, creating more space for presence, mindfulness and inner awareness in a world that constantly calls for our attention.

Lesson 6
Dharana - Focused Concentration: The 6th Limb Of Yoga
The sixth limb of yoga, Dharana, invites us to explore the practice of concentration — learning to place our attention intentionally and return to it again and again.
In this lesson, we explore how single-pointed focus creates the foundation for meditation and how the simple rhythm of focus, wander, notice, return can become a practice in itself. The returning is part of the practice.
We’ll also explore Drishti, or focused gaze, and how working consciously with our attention can support greater steadiness and presence both within our yoga practice and in everyday life.
Through an embodied meditation using awareness at the brow centre, you’ll experience Dharana directly, gently gathering the mind around a single point of focus.
Ultimately, Dharana reminds us that our attention can be trained — and that learning to direct it intentionally can transform the way we practice, meditate and move through our lives.

Lesson 7
Dhyana - Meditative Absorption: The 7th Limb Of Yoga
The seventh limb of yoga, Dhyana, brings us into the practice of meditation and the experience of sustained, continuous attention.
In Dharana, we practiced placing our attention on a single point and returning whenever the mind wandered. With Dhyana, that attention begins to flow more continuously — as we spend less time bringing awareness back and more time simply remaining.
In this lesson, we explore the transition from concentration into meditation and how a steadier relationship with our attention can create the conditions for greater stillness, presence and inner awareness.
Through an embodied meditation, you’ll be invited to experience this transition directly, allowing the attention to settle and remain with a single point for increasingly sustained periods of time.
Dhyana invites us to discover meditation as something that develops through practice — a deepening continuity of awareness that prepares us for the eighth and final limb, Samadhi.

Lesson 8
Samadhi -The State Of Bliss Or Enlightenment: The 8th Limb Of Yoga
This lesson focuses on guiding you through a meditation journey to explore the eighth and final limb of yoga, Samadhi – the state of bliss or enlightenment. As we culminate our 8-day course through the 8 limbs of yoga, we will immerse ourselves in detailed visualizations, activating the Ujjayi breath, and examining the three aspects of Samadhi: Savitarka (with thought), Nirvitarka (without thought), and Asamprajnata (beyond cognition). This meditation aims to help you embody the concept of Samadhi and provides practical advice for integrating its wisdom into your everyday life. Additionally, we will reflect on the transformative journey through the entire course, setting intentions for your ongoing path of self-discovery and inner growth.
