Lesson 1

Listening To The Body: Somatic Resourcing & Breath

In this lesson, we begin the course by exploring somatic resourcing as a pathway toward nervous system care, safety, and self-awareness. Blending science with embodied practice, this session introduces the foundations of orienting, breath awareness, and body-based listening. Students will explore how stress impacts the breath and nervous system, and begin building a more compassionate relationship with the body through curiosity, consistency, and care.

Lesson 2

Breath As Support: Gentle Breathing Techniques

In this lesson, students explore the breath as a tool for nervous system care, awareness, and embodied safety. Through foundational breathing techniques including square breathing, 4–7–8 breathing, and alternate nostril breathing, students learn how intentional breath can support relaxation, focus, and nervous system resolution. This session emphasizes curiosity over control, inviting students to build a supportive relationship with their breath at their own pace.

Lesson 3

Embodied Awareness: The Senses, Movement & Nervous System Safety

In this lesson, students expand beyond breathwork into full-body somatic awareness through sensory engagement, movement, and nervous system education. Exploring concepts such as interoception, proprioception, neuroplasticity, and the vestibular system, this session highlights how the body gathers information about safety, stress, and connection. Through practices involving the senses, self-touch, posture, and contralateral movement, students begin building a deeper relationship with the body rooted in curiosity, adaptability, and trust.

Lesson 4

Somatic Tools For Stress & Overwhelm: Movement, Sensation & Nervous System Support

In this lesson, students are guided through a series of practical somatic exercises designed to support the body during moments of stress, anxiety, dissociation, and nervous system activation. Through arm sweeping, brain spotting, bilateral pressure, rocking, compression, and vocal toning, students explore how movement, gaze, touch, breath, and sound can help create safety, stimulate the vestibular system, and support nervous system resolution. This session encourages curiosity, flexibility, and trust in the body’s natural responses while deepening awareness of embodied self-support.
