Mindfulness Through Creative Writing - by Mollie Hollie

COURSE

Mindfulness Through Creative Writing

With Mollie Hollie

A week of creative writing prompts to help you slow down and come back to the present moment. Each day includes a single prompt and about 10 minutes of writing to gentle music. You'll need a pen and paper, and a quiet place to sit. This course for anyone who finds sitting in silence difficult, enjoys writing, or simply wants a creative way to feel more present. No writing experience is needed, and nothing you write has to be good, correct or shared. This is a mindfulness and creativity practice, not a substitute for professional support.

Meet your Teacher

Mollie is a trained hypnotist, coach, and certified breathwork practitioner who brings together her professional experience in subconscious work, coaching, and nervous system practices with a lifelong love of creativity and storytelling. Her own creative journey began in childhood, when she intuitively discovered how writing could be a way to explore experiences, emotions and ideas. That relationship with creativity has continued throughout her life, alongside her work helping others create meaningful change. Mindfulness Through Creative Writing brings these worlds together — using creativity not simply as a way to make something, but as a way to slow down, become more present, explore your inner world, and discover what emerges when you give your imagination space to speak.

Lesson 1

Welcome: Writing In High Definition

This introduction explains how the course works and why it helps. You'll hear how writing, sensory awareness and creativity each support a calmer, more present mind, and how to approach each session: write without pressure, keep it simple, and let your mind wander and return. It takes about five minutes, and it's worth listening to before you begin the first prompt.

Lesson 2

The Object

Day 1 of writing. Choose one object near you and describe it in as many ways as you can, without saying what it is. Looking closely at something familiar is a simple way to slow down and notice details you'd usually pass over. You'll hear the prompt once, then write to about ten minutes of gentle music. Replay the session for a full twenty-minute practice.

You’ll hear the prompt, then write to about ten minutes of gentle music. Replay the session for a full twenty-minute practice.

Lesson 8

The Moment

Day 7 of writing. In this final session, you’ll bring all your senses together. Choose a moment, such as the room you’re in, and describe it using sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste. Replay the session for a full twenty-minute practice.
