Finding Peace With Uncertain Bodies - Calming Health Anxiety

With Biggi Junge

Health anxiety can make ordinary body sensations feel alarming. A headache, a flutter in the chest, or a change in the body can quickly trigger spirals of worry, symptom checking, and the search for certainty that never quite arrives. If you struggle with health anxiety, medical worry, or fear of illness, you are not alone. Your mind is not broken, it is trying to protect you. This six part audio course offers a gentle and practical approach to calming health anxiety by working with both the mind and the nervous system. Rather than trying to eliminate fear or force calm, these practices support you in changing how you relate to anxious thoughts, body sensations, and uncertainty. Through short teachings and guided practices, you’ll learn how to: • settle the nervous system when body sensations feel frightening • step out of catastrophic thinking without arguing with your mind • reduce reassurance seeking behaviours like symptom checking or late night research • build tolerance for uncertainty • live more fully in the present moment, even when the body feels unpredictable Inspired by a compassionate, mindfulness-based approach, this course invites you to meet fear with curiosity and kindness instead of trying to fight or fix it. By the end of the course, you may discover that peace doesn’t come from eliminating uncertainty. It comes from learning to stay present, grounded, and connected, exactly as you are.
