Feldenkrais For Neck Pain

With Jakob Puchmayr

Welcome to my course, Feldenkrais for Neck Pain! The Feldenkrais Method, named after its founder Dr. Moshé Feldenkrais, is a unique approach to somatic learning through Awareness Through Movement lessons that teach you how to move more efficiently and improve your self-awareness. This course focuses on the main movements of your neck—turning, tilting, and nodding—explored in different positions like lying on your back, side, and sitting, so you can learn to perform them in a healthy, functional way that increases flexibility and reduces pain. For the best experience, I recommend completing one lesson per day (or taking rest days in between as needed), and once you finish the course, feel free to repeat your favorite lessons to deepen your practice. These gentle movements can be done by almost anybody, regardless of age or physical fitness. Each lesson starts with a body scan to sense your current state and a reference movement to test ease, followed by a sequence of small, slow movement exercises that reorganize your movement patterns, before finishing with a final scan to feel the changes. See you inside! (DISCLAIMER: The movement exercises in this course must be done slowly and gently and are performed at your own risk. Please listen to your body and consult your doctor or physical therapist if you are unsure whether you can take this course.)
