This course will familiarize you with terms, concepts, and practices so that you understand the broad world of meditation. The first 4 days will explore concepts and give you background and understanding of meditation postures, focuses, and more. The final 3 days will give you practice in breathwork, body scan, and mindfulness meditations.


Meet your Teacher

Maya Rain is a spiritual mentor and life coach. She has her Master’s Degree in counseling and has been learning about the intersection between psychology and spirituality with her clients and in her own life. Through many years of mindfulness practice and exploring many methods and modalities, Maya has gained and understanding of the basic tenents that go into an easeful and fruitful meditation practice.

This lesson will break down posture, position, senses, hand placement, eye focal point, and more in order for you to feel fully comfortable and ready for your first full meditation.

Lesson 5

Breathwork Practice

This is the first full meditation practice of the course. You will be guided through a breathing practice to start getting comfortable with using your breath as an anchor point for your awareness.

Body Scan Meditation

This meditation will bring your practice one step deeper, with a mindful scan of your physical body and the use of your breath. You will be guided to notice sensations and to keep your awareness open and receptive.

Lesson 7

Final Mindfulness Meditation

You made it! This is the final meditation of this course. It is a meditation that will guide you through all aspects of meditation that we have covered in this course. You are invited to continue in silent meditation after the track continues. Once you complete this lesson you can call yourself a full-fledged meditator!
