This heart opening meditation will help you dissolve the walls that you have built up around your heart and will help you open your heart to a life of unconditional love.
Love for yourself and love for others.
Let's begin by getting into a comfortable position.
Close your eyes and become aware of your breathing.
Become aware of the rise and fall of your chest.
Do not force the breath.
Merely become a witness to your breathing.
Inhale deeply.
Exhale the breath slowly.
As you breathe in,
You become more and more relaxed.
As you breathe out,
You go deeper into relaxation.
Now bring your attention to your heart.
Visualize your heart and notice that there is a doorknob in the middle of it.
As you are focusing on the doorknob,
An angel appears and says,
Here is the key that will unlock and open the door to your heart.
You take the key and unlock the door.
When you open the door,
You see another door with a lock.
At this moment,
Another angel comes to you and hands you a key.
She says,
This key will unlock the door.
You put the key in the lock.
The door unlocks,
But it is difficult to open.
At first,
You feel a little scared because you don't know what's behind the door.
But the angel smiles and says,
It's okay.
You are safe.
Open the door.
You push the door open.
It's getting darker and harder to see,
But you are able to see another doorknob.
Now another angel appears,
Hands you a key and says,
Open the door.
Don't be afraid.
The fear you have this time is stronger and you can feel this fear in your body.
You then ask yourself,
What is this fear that is so strong in me that I'm afraid to open this door?
Emotions start to pour out.
Could it be fear of the unknown?
Could it be fear of death?
Fear of pain?
Fear of rejection?
Fear of not having enough or not being enough?
Go deep within yourself right now and ask,
What is it that I truly fear?
Once again,
You hear an angel's voice saying,
Open the door.
Don't be afraid.
You are safe.
Then you hear a voice deep inside of you that says,
Have no fear.
I am here and I will give you the strength to open the door.
You know with your deepest intuition that your soul,
Your true essence is speaking to you.
You put your hand on the doorknob.
You turn it and now the door moves easily.
You slowly open it and a piercing gold light appears.
As you walk through the door and into the light,
A strong feeling of love encompasses you.
Feel the love.
It is so strong that you feel as if you could burst.
Go into the love.
As you turn your attention fully on your heart,
Ask yourself,
Is this what it means to have an open heart,
Full of love and compassion?
How can I always feel like this?
Your soul answers that it is easy.
Just remember to keep the doors always open.
And if they do happen to close,
You can use the keys that you now know you always possess.
When you are ready,
Slowly and gently bring awareness to your body and your breath.
Feel the rise and fall of your chest.
Wiggle the fingers and toes.
Begin to move the legs and arms and gradually open your eyes to end your meditation.
Feel the餓 and the suffering.
