Marika Takeuchi is a Japanese contemporary composer, pianist and recording artist. Shortly after studying film scoring at The Berklee College Of Music, Marika began scoring several inspiring short films, including the acclaimed time-lapse film "The Arctic Light." Her 2nd album "Impressions" was nominated for Best Neo-Classical Album at the 10th annual ZMR Awards. It was followed by "Rain Stories," featuring an accompanying string ensemble, that she has described as a music diary to rainy days throughout the seasons. It was later followed by "Colors in the Diary," produced by Grammy-winning producer Will Ackerman. Marika's music has been described colorful storytelling with details that are as dynamic as they are soothing. Today, she continues to compose and record her modern classical and electronic music for short films, music libraries, advertisements, and video games.
